we average 50k a game at hime and have done for a long time. yet the Fail have us at 7th? I guess there must be 6 other clubs with over 50k rather than my incorrect assumption that it was just Man U and Arsenal. http://www.soccerstats.com/attendance.asp?league=england in terms of size of cumulative wight of all the fans we gotta be up there too..... ave you seen come of our big lads?
Must be great from an owners perspective. Despite what he serves up the 'loyal' sheep keep coming back for more. Only football.
Sunderland can get bigger crowds than Spurs Chelsea everton liverpool juventus .. Just because they have a bigger ground. Does that make them bigger than Juve?
Sunderland have been champions of England more than Newcastle, Chelsea, Spurs, Man City. Of them only Newcaslte have better crowds. Both NE teams are a lot bigger than the rest of the country would let on to. Given the relative lack of success for both, I doubt any other club would be able to attract such healthy numbers.
Simple answer really. It's either Man Utd or Liverpool. Nobody else comes close if you are weighing up history and tradition. Liverpool would also sell out a 75,000 seater stadium every game like Utd too. What's more important, league titles or European cups? For me Utd are the undisputed biggest club in Britain, with Liverpool a very close second. No other club has a right to be involved in the discussion
