Had this debate on the United forum a week or two back and we all pretty much agreed his weakest part of his game was his finishing. he has a lot more to his game than most strikers in the premier league. Believe it was the Fulham game, where some Welbecks passes were unbelievable. Imagine a front three of Welbeck Rooney Sturridge. Would be devastating with the right midfield.
Suarez is a fine player but pretty much everything goes through him as the rest of Liverpool's attacking talent is pretty bare. So it is easier for him to have an impact on a game and impress than Sturridge who is playing in a wide role and alongside the likes of Drogba, Torres, Mata etc. To get the goals he has from wide is also pretty impressive. Both very important players for their respective clubs and I suspect both sets of fans are happy with their own player.
Looks amazing on paper. Maybe get Beckham back to play on the right. Them 3 in the same midfield couldn't possibly fail.
Don't talk ****e. Sturridge and Welbeck are decent prospects but could they **** lead England at a major tournament.
They couldn't do worse than most of the other England players. England haven't had a good leader at international level since Bryan Robson....
Don't remember anyone winning **** all with England (but then I'm not as old as you and cym ). Robson's the only England player and captain I can remember in the past twenty years who hasn't embarrassed themselves with their national team performances, barring Shearer and some of the defenders.
I think Pele answered everyone's question today Good as he was, **** me is he conceited and narcissistic as ****!!
He did have the greatest cleats I have ever worn. Touch was a gem in the golden slippers! Puma pele kings, ****ing incredible, shame they don't make them anymore.
