To be fair though Drogs stats don't mean **** really,Being honest I wouldn't say Lampard is better than Xavi and Iniesta yet he has far superior stats than both of them, also on stats Andy Camel is better than Torres yet his about 10 levels below the great one

So you win this argument because your reply was so awful it didn't deserve a response? Riiiight.

Ftr I think Sturridge has the potential to be better than Suarez (and better than pretty much everyone in England) but right now, Suarez is most definitely the better player.

Well Suarez is out in the PRESENT so techinally Carroll is in better form than Suarez, and Heskey even Torres

In all seriousness, this comment is the reason cross-board threads are just so pointless

Totally different, you don't RELY on players like Xavi for assists and goals. You rely on Xavi as the hub of your team. Wingers and Strikers are a different kettle of fish and stats are vital.

Bit ignorant isn't it? I type out the concrete evidence of what Sturridge and Suarez have achieved in the last year and you pick out 1 part of my reply with 'Oh God'.

Secondly, that isn't what you said is it? You said Suarez was LEAGUES ahead, which would have to mean he has better stats at least in order to have that title wouldn't you agree?

<laugh> You said EVEN Torres at the end, does that mean you think Carroll and Heskey are in better form than Torres?

Didn't mean that intentionally <laugh> I still actually really rate Torres and think he'll come good for you <ok>

I'm just mucking with you <ok>.

He's played well recently, just needs a sack full of goals!

He's got to much quality not to go on a scoring run, and when he does you'll see the best of him

Suggesting that goals and assists is all that they need is a bit ridiculous tbf. If they were awful technically but just happened to pop up at the right time, it wouldn't make them a better player.

Suarez DOES have better stats, and is leagues ahead.

Are you so stupid you can't see how contradictory this statement is?

    1. I did not say that is ALL they need, I have said twice Suarez is better than Sturridge, he's just not LEAGUES AHEAD. He's been a lot more effective than Suarez has with 17 goals to his aid. You are obviously blinded by technical players.

    2. <doh><doh><doh>. How the **** can a player be leagues better when he has less goals, less assists and has played more games?

So you just wanted people to post one word, Suarez or Sturridge, and that's it.

    Thrilling.

The better footballer is Suarez, even though he is a ****. Bags of potential in Sturridge though, he should turn out to be a cracking player.
Shame that £50 million waste of space stands in his way.

Sturridge is a better player on the right and is first choice every week, so no, he does not stand in the way.

So you don't think that in picking Torres as centre forward is potentially stillting Sturridge's development in this position?

No, he will play on the right throughout AVB's reign at Chelsea, he said that from the beginning and he's developing into a world class player there.

No because Torres is ****ing quality and i'd rather have Torres up front than Sturridge if i had to choose one, but luckily enough Sturridges best position is on the right

    Interesting.

From what I've seen he looks a good centre forward and finisher but I'll take you word for it, debate being discouraged by the OP and all.

He is, but he is equally adept on the right.

Another way of looking at it, from the outside, he is being pushed out right to accomodate Torres. Who isn't really proving himself to be '****ing quality' this season due to his complete lack of goals. Sturridge has far more, from out wide as you say, imagine what he could do at striker.
