You are the one who is the tool you f**king ******. If you want a discussion, behave or else f**k off back to your board you silly c**t.

Now that Whelan is allegedly back tracking, may be the answer to my question is that we should give more credence to what the scousers CEO says but still as I said, only Martinez and he will know the truth. Even Rodgers said that " only when they came back a SECOND time and made me first choice that I decided to leave" . Clearly implying that on the FIRST occasion he was not first choice. No one knows the whole truth, no big deal but we read the interviews and we can draw our own conclusions.

You should have that as a signature.

Yeah like I said earlier, can you provide a link for this? You clearly have the link or else you wouldn't be quoting the comment! As I said earlier, I can't find it so it would be good for you to help out here and provide the information...cheers! <ok>

Oh, and you need to calm down a bit imo, we were having a discussion, the last bit of the discussion was discussing your idea that job offers or 'something' must get offered to everybody who goes to an interview! I disagreed that's all! :)

That last bit. Of course I didnt mean that everyone going to an interview had to be offered something. Martinez we were told had spent some days in the US and spent time to reflect and think about the job according to Whelan. That is not 'nothing'. Whelan may in future retract what he said but he distinctly gave the impression that there was something for Martinez to consider.

This is an extract of an interview given to a local paper in south Wales:

“But when a club of Liverpool’s status comes in (you have to pay attention). I turned them down once out of respect, because I didn’t want to go into a process and disrespect anything about Swansea.

“When they come in a second time and make you their No. 1 target, then you have to think."

So he was given to understand the 2nd time (after the scousers have spoken to Martinez who allegedly was not keen because of the DoF role) that he was now first choice. So you have to draw your conclusions.

That's my reading of the article. If you wish to think different or read it different be my guest (no skin off my nose).

    GTG. Early to work tomorrow.

    Klopp was probably first choice
    Then Rodgers
But after he said no we went for Martinez
But decided Rodgers was a better choice and went back and asked again
Then he said yes when he realised he wasn't a 1/12 applicant

If I was forced to put a flutter on it that would be my guess

Th OP asked was Whelan or Ayre telling the truth about Martinez.

Whelan has stated that he never said Martinez was offered the job.

So why cant Christian accept that the Scouser wasn't the liar and move on?
