Neither party have come away with much credit on this issue. Geraghty is a political dinosaur but then again Allam Snr's negotiating skills leave a lot to be desired. AP must be pulling his hair out and going greyer by the day. We get the opportunity to play in a state of the art stadium at no cost to the football club - a stadium we could only dream about in the dark dark days of Lloyd Hinchcliffe Buchanan Dolan Fish et al and there we are talking of moving to Melton FFS. The KC is in the perfect spot - withinthe city and travel to the stadium is not totaly dependent on the motor car. Planning permission for the KC was a relative breeze - getting permission for a new stadium in any event is a nightmare - just ask the likes of Everton and Brighton to name but two. Yes Melton would probably get the nod thats because its virtually a field next to the Humber Estuary, and is so relatively remote with little or no population to upset and fook all facilities nearby. Sort it out.

Yes ! It turns out some gypo L**ds fan had nicked it. Iv'e told him he can keep it,as i don't want anymore, after he had it surgically removed from his arse !
The council are probably looking at Geraghty to drive a hard but fair bargain with the Allams and ensure their terms are completely covered, but unfortunately Geraghty appears to have his own self-interests and (via the media) he has pushed the committee in the direction he wants. Every big business venture has an element of calculated risk but experienced businessmen like the Allams are savvy enough to handle it. The problem lies in politicians like the councillors who have never had to take a risk in their lives and they won't consider any proposal until their arses are well and truely covered. At the end of the day they don't want to be associated with any suggestion of failure that might manifest into loss of votes and so they will take the safest route which is of course doing nothing. It will take someone who is very persuasive and with a lot of business acumen to sway the council. Hopefully that will prove to be AP, but in the meantime the people of Hull are the losers as usual.
