So how about now then? Anyone else want to join me in thinking it really could be Liverpool's year? 3/1 with the bookies now, with Chelsea 2/1 and Citeh 6/4 favourites.
You certainly can't write them off, and they are almost certain to get three points from us soon (I really am not looking forward to that game now). Brendan Rodgers has done an incredible job, and quite possibly better than I thought he would/could do.
The momentum they have at the moment is unbelievable, they are dismantling teams at will and the confidence in the dressing room right now must be unbelievable. They've got Cardiff at the weekend, followed by Sunderland and an out of sorts Spurs and in that time Chelsea and Citeh both have to play Arsenal where they could both easily drop points. The scousers could even be top by the end of March!
What odds did you get at the time? After this weekend I'm starting to believe! Still think it will be Chelski but its gonna be close. Bah!
I backed them at 17/2 and again at 8/1 just a few weeks ago, only stuck a few quid on each-way though. My best bet of the season was Suarez top scorer at a ridiculous 25/1!
I've being saying that Liverpool will win the Premier League this year since the start of the season! I don't honestly believe that there is a more deserving player than Steven Gerrard to pick up the Premier League trophy. and besides I put £50 on at 20s!
How about now then? Chelsea out to 7/1, Liverpool 13/8 second favourites with their fate now in their own hands. Could they really do it?
Remarkable Chelsea are as long as that! Given they're only 2 points off the top and the have by far the easiest run of the three. I suppose that's a snap reaction to their shocker yesterday. Still, we could see the Liverpool Man City match on 13 April being the title decider. All of them will drop a point or two from here, so for Liverpool that home game might be a chance to shift the goal difference in their favour, though they've been doing that well enough recently... Anyone got any clue why k/o is scheduled for 13:37 according to all websites I can see?!?
Ok so I've had a google and either we have some particularly Christian guy doing the fixture list and referring to scripture, or some wisecrack computer whizz has managed to get "leet" into football as if this is the "leet" game of the season. "Leet" is apparently computer gamer speak for "elite" so I guess that makes sense, but I wonder if this is just a hacker confusing all the news sites as a joke about the match?!
Is it not something to do with the 25th anniversary of Hillsborough? All games are kicking off seven minutes late that day, our Fulham game is at 3:07
Yeah, you're right. The Hillsborough game stopped after six minutes, so I guess that's why. Just coincidence that it happens to be a significant computer programmer number
I have to admit I was wondering what the hell you were on about, they were a strange old couple of possible explanations you came up with there fella
sorry! I just googled the time thinking there would be an immediate explanation and all that came up!! I was fascinated by this computer language and so forgot to think of a realistic explanation... deserved
