No he wouldn't - they'd lost eight straight games before they sacked him, and there is nothing on his CV that says he could've kept them up. The closest to that is him whining that West Ham stayed up at their expense with mainly due to the dodgy nature of Tevez, rather than bring attention to the fact a solitary extra point would've kept them up (for example, the two that Steven Gerrard cheated them out of on the very first day of the season...)

I'd like it to be Wolves, QPR and Bolton (mainly so no-one suggests bloody Owen Coyle as our manager!), however I think Wigan may well find it a bridge too far this time, for some reason I think B'burn might have turned a corner and should save themselves comfortably.

The Blackburn fans want Kean out, even if he keeps them up, but I can't understand this logic. Blackburn's owners have got to be the meanest "rich" owners in football, and he's done a superb job given what he's been left with.
The way Kean has kept focused on the team, and the team have responded in kind by focusing on what they have to do instead of the chaos in the boardroom, deserves some credit. I also do feel sympathy with him, because he knows the situation is utterly ludicrous and he probably wouldn't wish it on anyone, but he's taken it on as well as anyone could.
Ditto hbic, i think Keans resolve is remarkable in the face of the some of the worst treatment I've seen, fair play to him and the team to stay focused, they even beat United ffs!
They beat Arsenal, too.
Considering that the owners obviously didn't even want to spend a couple of quid on Jason Robert's contract and the amount of focus that he's faced, Kean's done ok.
If they do get rid of him at the end of the season, then he'll probably get a job at a lower level pretty quickly.

If they go down and Kean is sacked, it will be a long time before Blackburn are on our fixture list outside of a cup draw.
