If he doesn't last the 7 year contract, Ashley will have clauses in place, thats for sure.

not sure if this is accurate or not, but i think someone said to me that Ashley would only have to pay him off for one of those years in compo, so the 7 yr thing isnt too bad from Newcastle cost of getting rid point of view.

Unexpected results yesterday, I can see the Glazers and Al Nahyan not being comfortable. Is David Moyes and Manuel Pellegrini at risk.?

Haha! We could've lost every game so far this season and there still wouldn't be pressure on Bruce, nevermind calls for him to be sacked. He did remarkably well to take us up and was never going to be likely to get the boot, even if we did terribly, which was unlikely given that he's built a very capable squad here. I'd probably had said Pardew, Di Canio and possibly Holloway.

Small club - perhaps, ****e manager - clearly not, you thought it was a good shout - clearly a moron.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew 'knows he's on borrowed time and sack is inevitable'

Supporters' group spokesman and fanzine editor Steve Wraith claims Toon Army expect director of football Kinnear to take ove

Alan Pardew is on borrowed time at Newcastle – and knows it, according to one influential Magpies fan.

Steve Wraith, the spokesman for the NUFC Fans United Group and editor of the club's No.9 fanzine, claims Pardew believes it is "inevitable" that director of football Joe Kinnear will take over as the Toon's manager.

Newcastle were awful in the first half as they lost 3-2 to Everton on Monday, and a third successive league defeat - against Cardiff on Saturday - could spell the end of Pardew's three-year reign at St James’ Park.

Who'll be the next Prem boss sacked? Place your bets HERE with Paddy Power

Wraith claims his fellow fans feel sacking the manager would be unfair, because of the way owner Mike Ashley undermined him this summer by bringing back ex-boss Kinnear in a new job.

“There is more support for Alan Pardew now than there was at the end of last season, when many wanted him out,” said Wraith.

“They feel he has been *undermined and the Joe Kinnear situation has made it inevitable he will replace him as manager.

“I don’t think Pardew would argue with that assessment - and I am privy to certain conversations he has had with certain people.

“Pardew knows he’s on borrowed time and if results continue to go pear-shaped, there’s only one man who’s going to get his job.

“Kinnear approached Mick Harford in the summer to be his assistant - who ever heard of a director of football having an assistant?

“That was Joe’s way of telling us what is going to happen. It just seems inevitable and Pardew does not deserve to be treated like this.”

Catalogue of errors: Ashley and Kinnear bought no players this summer
    Michael Regan

Kinnear denied earlier in the season that he was waiting in the wings to replace Pardew, who is just a year into an eight-year contract.

He told Mirror Sport in August: “We are working together – not plotting against each other. There seems to be a perception outside the club that we are at loggerheads, but I don’t know why people jump on the bandwagon because it is a false picture.”

Wraith claims Kinnear and Ashley must accept their share of the blame for Newcastle’s plight, because of the lack of investment in new players this summer.

“The team spent most of last season battling relegation, but the only player brought in during the summer was Loic Remy on loan,” he said.

“You can’t just blame one person in Pardew. It’s a job lot.”

    wow!

so you don't mind listing other managers who came up as for the chop but you have some wonderful manager do you?, be interesting to see if he keeps you lot up.

like i said the hindsight queen, shame you didn't make a comment before a manager got sacked wasn't it and contributed to the thread if you didn't agree with me!

i expected a sacking just before christmas not after 6 games, you may have had a good start, guess we will see if you can maintain it wont we.

my opinion, and you call me a moron, you sir are a muppet!

Only saw the thread when I commented, I don't really come on the Liverpool board, if you were that interested you could see I predicted Di Canio to get sacked first on our board, but it might take some extensive searching and I really don't think it's a worthwhile use of your time. I know it's just your opinion, but it was a stupid one. Likewise if you'd suggested Moyes, Wenger, Martinez or Laudrup as the first to be sacked, I'd also assume you were an idiot. Bruce is under no pressure, as for maintaining our start, it's unlikely, promoted sides rarely finish as high as eighth.

I think Pellegrini's days are numbered!! He just hasn't got the technical know how of the Defensive setups you need to compete in the PL, and he wont be given the time to learn them. Thats the problem with Spanish teams and managers the all rely on dominating possession, If they don't then they tend to not to do so well.
In the PL you have to be able to see out matches where you are not in control of large portions of the game, against teams who are difficult to break down and play good counter attacking football.
