Think you might just be correct now Resting players and losing 5-0 ready for a big match which you lose 6-0 wont go down too well
remier League - Paper Round: Swansea consider sacking Laudrup http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/...-consider-sacking-laudrup-053153760--sow.html
apparently right now the new boys at spurs and fulham are already being lined up to be sacked. I think thats crazy but there you go. I think laudrup deserves it the project has serious gone awry and they need to go into survival mode and scrap. thier form is that bad i kind of fancy them to go down.
dont think spurs will get rid of sherwood just yet, he was brought in to steady them and he is doing ok. if swansea was to let go of laudrup, maybe he could end up at spurs and take over from sherwood at some point, maybe summer. suppose that theory would depend on where sherwood has spurs at end of season, as they wont want to do that if he got them 4th, but think he would be a good option for them or arsenal(unlikely any time soon)
From this point on, I doubt any Prem manager will get the sack. But watch the merry-go-round at the end of the season!
After watching Swansea have no shots at goal against West Ham the other day, playing against 10 men for half an hour, I can see Laudrop being out the door fairly soon. I know they've had injuries, but who hasn't? And I know the Europa League hasn't helped, but the level of performance against West Ham was embarrassing. They have Cardiff next, and a defeat to them would probably be the end of Laudrop
Garry Monk has become part of Swansea coaching staff and has been cut to odds on favourite to take over from Laudrup now. Was only 6 months ago Laudrup was being considered for the Madrid job now he could be getting sacked from Swansea.
No idea why Swansea have slumped so bad after winning Capital One Cup last year. Probably the best they have played is when the had us on the ropes early on in the season after Shelvy's horror show.
It's odd as under Rodgers they seemed to pass the ball for the sake of it and didn't have that cutting edge going forward. Then Laudrup came in and Michu gave them that option and now they have Bony who looks very good when he plays but they don't seem to have that playmaker in behind who can help create chances. Teams seem happy to let them have the ball and pass it around knowing they will struggle to break down 2 banks of 4.
yeah laudrup's been removed and monk is in charge as player manager. its about time. they have been woeful for a year... since league cup final.. they would be my favorites for the drop also knniear as gone at newcastle after pardew complained about transfers in january.
Swansea won't go down, they probably have the strongest squad of any down the bottom. I think Laudrops influence had gone stale, but once they get a new manager there, I'm sure there performances will pick up
