He's 26. He should be leading.

Lucas is a bit too short but if he had another 2 inches I'd leave him there.

I didn't realise he was that old I had him as about 23! Shocked. Certainly should be doing better but when the back 4 is an shambles pointing the finger at individuals wouldn't be sensible but that goes for the whole team.

    Replace Lucas with Lucas? :emoticon-0105-wink:

I wasn't concentrating on individual performances so much last night (I was doing the ironing at the same time :emoticon-0165-muscl) but Lucas and Ilori played very well (even if Ilori got away with one). Smith Looks good going Forward and has an engine but I agree that he's defensively very suspect. Stewart has looked a bit limited but done his job well; could be a decent squad player. Tex looks good but I still worry a bit about end product - he looks like a bit of a luxury Player, bit like a cheaper, younger Lallana?

I think he's better than Lallana - more substance to his play. Agreed he needs to have more output.

Saw highlights again and still think Ilori was terrible. Lucas showed him up and not even his position. Ilori looked poor against Exeter too. Maybe he just needs more time, but he misplaced about 10 passes in dangerous areas that we were lucky we weren't punished from and on top of that the terrible pull back that he got away with.

yeah but.... I supppose i mean you you need your hand held or do you know your job. That would be a better way of me putting my point across.

sahko seems to need his hand holding or he'll run cross a busy street like a 3 year old.

Deciding to go positive today. After trashing our squad for the last few weeks it seems not all is quite as terrible.

I still think we need to buy the spine of the team in the summer: GK, CB, CM and striker.

but think of players that might work with it.

At CB I'd keep Sakho and Gomez..just need another. Illori squad at mo. Get rid of Skrts, Lovren. Lucas looks like he can replace Toure..especially as he is more utilitarian.

I actually think at FB we have players of similar age that if competing for place could improve.

    Smith and Moreno

    Clyne and Flannagan.

    Get rid of Enrique.

Stewert and Chiverella and Rossiter looked like growing competition for a CM spot...I'm in agreement with Mito..sod this DM stuff..three dynamic agressive and most importantly intelligent CM's will do. Don't think they are automatic names but happy if they are in the squad much more.

Allen can continue to be another squad player (utilitarian). Very happy for Can to stay...maybe Henderson if he can get back to his squad player level. Get rid of Milner. Still not sure about Brannigan but maybe should get a chance.

    AM/Fowards

Coutinho with Texiera as his mini me.

    Firmno, Origi, Sturridge and Ings.

Ibe being young saves him but I'm starting to have my doubts. Lala can go. Benteke can go.

    So proper brave keeper.

    A calm authoritiative CB

    A leader in midfield

And a striker because we know Sturridge will fall over sooner rather than later.

Do we have 100M to spend in the summer?

    tex or lallana.

    hmmm...

tex has more skills I think

    Lallana runs further...

    both are light weights.

Tex so far hasn't really announced himself. there's more in there form his early years he's not brought to the senior table. he needs a wonder goal to set him up.

I agree with 4 positions. I just feel klopp needs guys he can really rely on playing his game and showing the way for him.

I probably agree somewhat at RB, LB would not be a huge priority but if theres a player going for little money out there klopp knows i think he needs to get them in. Moreno is brain dead. smith is decent but lost a lot of time through injury... he's not learned the defensive side... give him time. He lost 2/3 years at various times.

At CM i don't think rossiter is good enough.. stewart is decent but just decent. if he works hard he might get there. I think we really needed better in this zone. Can needs to learn quite a bit, needs time to go do so. Henderson looks like he's peaked IMO ferguson called him spot on. allen is gone already. Lucas... sigh... god loves a trier but he's just not that good o nthe ball. that 50% of the game. I think this area is very very average. We have to get a really good CM.

AM.... theres too many similar and too many who are just... not consistent or good enough. Coutinho needs to go it more than once in 5. tex won't get a game if he doesn't get more phyiscial. Firmino can't decide what he is.

ibe has been poor, he shows no awareness and getting head up and just time after time over complicates the simple.

milner is milner... this is the area goals are created.

Striker... ings is no savious. he's a worker. might be a wide slot for him. he misses too much.... origi has it all to prove. he made one game where he made a good run and shot but then southampton imploded. He needs to prove himself again. injury meant he lost a great chance to do so. Sturridge has it all to prove too. Benteke needs to shake his head and man up.

I would say add 4 this summer and tidy up and round the squad. By all means use the kids and squad players around that. this is a 3 year job.

Don't forget Grujic comes into the team in the summer. Hopefully he is useful

  14. Yep, better put. Froma bout 24 or 25, they should know their role well enough to hold their own. Still need a organiser in there though.

Yeah..I still think most current are still or will be squad players. Just don't want an influx of gambles.

The 4 positions bring in good solid proven players.

Obviously, but if he is good enough he is good enough. Don't know much about him, but thats why i said I am hopeful he can do something and offers something different than our current identical midfielders.

Any player brought in for 6m will be part of the first team. Grujic won't start every match but he will be thereabouts.

We still have Markovic on the books. At the very least he will provide Ibe with some competition who has been poor.

Again, at risk of sounding like a broken record, I think that anyone writing off Moreno yet has far too high expectations of any younger fullback. Smith is no better defensively.

Stewart was decent but needs to be involved more to get a feel for top flight football.

Tex is Suso 2.0, in the style and look and position. He needs to get chances and he needs to take them. No lazing about the pitch like Ronaldinho. Needs to emulate Coutinho.

  20. I don't think any of us have any idea about next seasons team.

It could be similar to now with just a couple of additions but I doubt it.

His first summer at Dortmund saw him shift seventeen players out and thirteen in.

I don't expect to see this level of activity either, I think it will be somewhere inbetween.

One thing I am certain of, it will be a different side to what we're currently seeing.
