Reina is a great goalkeeper and would walk into most teams in the league. On balance I'd say he's better than Krul (whenyou consider experiance ect). However this hasn't been one of his best seasons and arguably Krul is one of the most in form goalkeepers in the league

Both good elevens but judging by some of the comments from Newcastle fans they haven't seen us play many games this season, especially if they think Lucas isn't a great player. We have the best defence in the league but so did Newcastle for a while too, but that was hugely down to Colo, I think our fullbacks are a lot better than Newcastles At the moment. A fully fit Liverpool midfield is very good, Newcastle also have some good players in CM in Cabaye and Tiote (Tiote hasn't been as good this season).

I'd take Bellamy over Guitierez and Ben Arfa (when on form) Over Downing. and Suarez and Ba Pick themselves..

Well he's been injured and playing unfit for most of this season so that's hardly fair. Lucas is a good player aswell but a top form Tiote can effectively remove an opposition player from the match with his tackling and positional play. Lucas is a bit more consistent though and has a better passing ratio, with Cheik he's either a beast or gives the ball away every 5 minutes (as he did against you guys)

Still I'd take Tiote over him purely because he's a GOD

"El Burro" and "El Pistolero" Missing chances since January 11... <ok>

I think a lot of the picks are also either on a name or form. Tiote last year you could say and have the debate about Lucas but this year it has been a no-brainer Lucas has been better. Colo worked his way up as well this year as being a def pick for one of the two CB's.

Yeah he was voted Liverpool's Fan's player of the year last season and made more tackles and interceptions than any other Premier League player, but he's clearly an "abomination of footballer" <doh>

Both Lucas and Tiote are great players. For the first 15 games of this season, you would have picked Lucas ahead of Tiote, but Cheik's improved performances of late show he isn't just a one season wonder, he is also a quality player.

I would rate them about the same now. It's a shame Lucas is injured, it would have been great to see a midfield battle of Gerrard and Lucas vs Cabaye and Tiote at SJP!

    That is a phenomenal team.

Also can't believe we're doing the whole Lucas vs. Tiote thing AGAIN.

    Reina
    Johnson - Agger - Coloccini - Jose
    Gerrard - Cabaye - Tiote
Ben Arfa - Ba - Suarez

Thats my best 11, not much in it, but Gerrard is the main difference between the two.

My heart says Newcastle my head says about the same, also worth remembering that we have a better manager, though Liverpool have a better squad.

    Better manager?

Based purely on your own opinion?

Or maybe he's based it on the current table and the amount of money you've spent?

Coloccini is one of the top 5 centre backs in the Premier League - never ever puts a foot wrong.

Exactly not being funny but if I was told in May that Liverpool would spend the amount they did, we would spend the amount we did/n't and Arsenal would lose Nasri and Fabregas and spend what they did, I would have said undoubtedly Liverpool would be comfortably ahead of both by now.

    My team would be:

GK - Reina - Best in world for me tbh, Krul is class and will be best in world in future imo, but would just say Reina atm

RB - Santon - Could potentially be best fullback around in future
CB - Skrtel - Better than Willo
CB - Coloccini - Class above really, top player. Good to see people underrating him :)
LB - Enrique - We know how good he is

RM - Gerrard - I know he is a central midfielder, but has to be in the team so I put him on the right
CM - Tiote - Class player, would dominate the midfield
CM - Cabaye - Classy player, complete player
LM - Ben Arfa - The boyo really, awesome player

ST - Ba - Feed him syrup, he will score :)
ST - Suarez - Class player despite being a racist

Its the end if season table that matters.

As for spending money the Toon aint averse to spending bigtime as proven over the last few years.

Yes but that was a while back and not to the extent that Liverpool have since Dalglish returned this guy paid 35 million for Carroll, 20 million for Downing and 17 million for Henderson all equal or more than our record transfer fee ever.
