I was flicking through the dictionary today, getting my knowledge up as per usual, when I came across the phrase Headless Chicken. Funnily enough it said : see Stewart Downing. <ok>

Haha, he used to be class at Boro, scored a few, set up a few and had a great cross on him, same at Villa too. Maybe certain players just can't hack playing for clubs like Liverpool. Newcastle have had a fair few that haven't looked up to it too.

My grief with him is not just the running for no reason, cutting in constantly, wrong decisions, etc. It is more that we spent 20 million on a player to get our 35 million player going ( Downing to Carroll , simples right?). Instead that has backfired and spent 55 million on players who have something like 4-5 goals and no assists in league play combined? Not good enough and a huge huge reason we are where we are and not somewhere near 3-4 ( closer than 5 points).

Yeah, I thought Downing would be great for setting up Carroll. Seems like only Gerrard can actually find Carroll's head from what I've seen, just don't think certain players fit certain teams and Downing/Carroll seem like 2 of them (Adam too lol)

Pass and Move doesn't really fit their bill does it? There is a sort of split on this on our board. I back the players, I want them to prove me wrong, but at the moment I just can;t help but feel we blew a lot of money and could have got better.

Ah well, we shall see by the end of the season how it all goes and where we stand.

Yeah, be close between us, you and Le Arse I think. Maybe even Chelsea.

If chelsea get azpelicuta (sp?) from marseille and hazard I think they will have too much and stay in 4th. Still a lot to play and you never know, RVP gets injured, Abromivich loses his ****, Harry does something crazy ( can't see them falling out though). If we ever start scoring we can be a massive threat and have a good run at 4th but I can't see it this year after all the points we dropped. That feeling of what ifs is already creeping in.

BUT, we have Bolton on the weekend and a big win would really set a good tone to kick on from <ok>

Its great how underrated Glen Johnson is by opposition fans. They probably haven't watched him play, and are just parroting the opinions of people off TalkSport and Sky Sports News. Which is quite funny as they know **** ALL about football. Most of them actually thought Lampard was close to having the same ability and talent of Gerrard as a footballer. They were actually debating which one should start. *shakes head*

I rate Glen Johnson - not as highly as Richards and Walker mind, but I rate him.

this are the odds i worked out in my head. ie made up
    lol
Just wanting to wind the liverpool fans up who dont give a decent answer on this thread. One mentioned a team that wed half our players because they would want to go to a team that had won something in the last 50 years. Well liverpool can kiss my shiny ring hole because 50 years without a trophy means we are well over due one. Least we dont sit high on our perch from beating barca off the park. o wait ! we do !!!! :) wonder if liverpool have ever thrashed barca recently :S

I thought I was in the minority for not rating Adam. Most people I speak to also think he is a class act and that I am wrong.

well unlike most of the toon army i like liverpool. Simply because they have always been a top flight team even same as us even if they have alot more silverware. I just hate chelsea man city and stoke. But some of the liverpool fans on this bored are clueless. Some are clear interlects with a good view on our team.

But still Our starting 11 is defo better then liverpools. Especially on current form. Thats why we are ahead of them in the table ^_^

I think they are pretty even, but we would have the edge on line ups when everybody fit imo.
