From what I remember of him (it has been a while lol) he wasn't\ isn't the hard tackler we would need should McKenna pick up an injury\suspension.
well listening to NB on saturday he saidf to burnsie that he would like to work with jay simpson but i guess if OJ wants to stay down south then a deal may have already been agreed on saturday. i also expect some of the loans to stay out as fo now and HARPER to leave. maybe TC and McShane out on loan with recalls as with Garcia now back and Oli due back soon we are fine in midfield.
yes James Chester can do that role as can Richard Garcia and Olifinjana. So City are well covered there. key:- .........IMO.
Macca to go definitely - he wants regular first team action to get into the Ireland Euro 2012 squad so will depart to somewhere like Barnsley as he did before. A CB replacement when he goes. A No 1 keeper - Mannone for me without doubt. A big but mobile guy up front that gives us a plan B - I did say Darius Henderson before Saturday but now not so sure. Lot speculation about Sharp but he hardly pulled up any trees on his return to Bramall Lane did he? - as for Ched Evans- he's on a stack of cash (20k a week I believe) and an impending court hearing - again not for me.
I think if we are to sign a keeper it should be on loan from a prem club (DeVries or Harper) I would still like Darius Henderson but I cannot see it happening
I'm sure we'll try and shift all five of Oli, McShane, Kilbane, Simpson and Harper to get them off our wage bill. Realistically I can see Kilbane's loan being extended at Derby or him being loaned out to a new club, Simpson going to Millwall for around 500k, Harper sealing a free transfer to a League 1 club and McShane going to a bottom half Championship club such as Doncaster. I can't however see much interest being shown in Oli by other clubs, so I think we'll be stuck with him for at least the rest of the season. If we manage to recruit heavily in January, I think there's also a chance we may see Cairney go, whether that be on loan or a permanent deal. If the Allams keep their word and back NB with "millions" in January I'm sure we can expect some new faces. A striker, winger (if Brady goes), goalkeeper and possibly some defensive cover should be expected. A dream pick of players for me (although a little unrealistic) would be: De Vries (Loan to Buy) Andros Townesend (Loan) Billy Sharp (3.25m) As John Walkington said, buying Sharp would be a great statement of intent by the owners which would probably result in increased attendances as well.
like and agree with most of what you posted above ^^^^^^^^ but NB said on the radio on saturday that he wants to work with Oli as he rates him. I think that Oli will stay for the season at least. Macca depends on a few things but Killer - Simpson and Harper i would say will go. So that will free up shirt nos. 11 - 16 - 21 for certain. Give Sharp the No.11 shirt.
