What is it about people from oop Norf or Norfolt that makes them cream about a player who had a good season 2 years ago...

Sure he was amazing then but has done F-all to justify his large billing and seeks a move to a big club (which aint ever coming) at evey chance he gets..

Clinging on to hope is all i can think...funnily enough..many more posters across many more sites now starting to se the real truth...If you dont believe me then try visiting some of the othe sites on the net and posting the "Adel is God" bullshit there. Let me know how you get on with that !

Oh well Swords, we can only lead and the sheep will follow !!

"He's good enough its the rest".....hehehehehehe...yeah rightO!

Sooper, the truth is most of us are not that far apart regarding Taarabts virtues and faults. It is the extreme views which wind people up ranging from those who can see no wrong and will always forgive his tantrums to those who would rather cut themselves than give him any credit at all - when it does eventually come it is grudging to say the least. When things go wrong for the team as invariably they have done this season, we all know who is going to get the blame. If he scores, it will be because he was lucky, the opposition was poor or because of someone else's brilliance.

One thing that seems to bug Swords and the other critics is that he always tries the difficult and unexpected rather than playing the simple pass. The reality is that occasionally all those manoeuvres will work for him. At other times, none will but as, you have said, who exactly is going to provide our creative spark if they are all going to play the safe sideways 5 yard pass? Oh yes. Esteban Granero.

I can still remember the comments that he was responsible for 3 of Swansea's goals and that he had not put in a decent performance since then until West Ham. Sorry for pointing it out but he was dropped after his substitution against the Swans when the score was till 2-0 and we had been left on a hiding to nothing by the woreful mistakes of Green and Fabio.

Too bloody right. I'll be the kettle to Sword's pot to pour some cold water in from time to time.

Hiya Queenie. By the way who is Knute Rockne? And why has he never been encouraged to apply for the post of supremo at Loftus Road.

Agree with most of that Yorkie, except I dont give credit begrudgingly. If T or any other player plays well then i will say so, If not then I will also say that.
You, as a Yorkshirman should understand the idea of "straight talk" better than most?!

Graneo has flopped mate, I'm not to big to say it but my issue is with those who still think Tarbs is god after 2 seasons of nothingness.
Please tell me that His first goal against Foolham wasnt lucky?..go on please? If you can justify it & convince me it was skill then I'll have it as my sig!

He's definately been putting a shift in and cannot fault his effort but he's proving that he isnt the new messiah but can become a good solid prem player..we need to keep him as he's far too good for Barcelona or Real...apparently ..!<laugh>

The first goal was clearly luck. Nobody has ever claimed otherwise. The second you grudgingly accepted to be a decent effort albeit you thought he got a lucky bounce back off the defender and you couldn't quite prevent yourself from hinting that Fulham's woeful performance might have had something to do with it. Just say he played well without the qualifications. Go on. You know you want to but don't want to be associated with the arse lickers. However you pretty much ignored his contribution over the rest of the game.

For me at least, he never has been the new messiah. But he is the best we've got and that will have to do.

By the way I'm as much a Yorkshireman as you are a Queenslander. We're both refugees in a foreign land. With my origins, I can be as stubborn as the next man.

Best thing you've posted for a long time mate and I totally agree!

As for the second goal thing, he got lucky in the middle of the park, but, he finishe dsuperbly. Never said anything diffrent in any post.

he had a good game mate, but facts are that Foolham were attrocious, and to give all that credit to us is a bit misguided-IMHO.

Still, it opinions mate. BTW I'm a "pozzie" at the moment, not quite made "Aussie" status..not sure if that a good thing or not?!

I cannot help but think that this could have all been avoided if we had signed up the likes of Danny Graham in June 2011 and added a few more of his status; those knocking on the door of the EPL. But the commitment was not there then. If it had been, we would have had a few young hungry players added to a settled squad and blended over that pre season.

Even in August 2011, the board we were so far behind the game, we were looking at signing up Danny ****tu, and Danny Webber. Since then, the policy has been quick fixes, and whilst Djibril Cissé met this objective last January, all others have flattered to deceive.

How long have you been in no mans land? Friends of ours went out to perth six years ago, got dumped there by his employers without a ticket back and it took the authorities the best part of 3 years to finally give them permanent residency status. It takes forever and heaven help those who lose their jobs while waiting. Fingers crossed for you mate

Only been here 3 1/2 years mate- was an ST holder right up until we hit the "glory/big time". Need to be 4 before i can get citizenship.
The visa thing is torturous at the best of times & took me 2 years to prcess.
Perth is not a place that you'd want to be stranded in. Most isolated city on the planet.

Finding work is ok here if your willing to work. I have a trade so have a bit of an advantage over some others. Got some English mates that are finding it hard right now but its even harder in London.!

Saw Vydra the other night for Watford at the Amex - very quick and a great finisher... worth a punt, but Watford are the Udinese feeder club, and they may have plans for him! Murray is top Championship, but not sure if he's good enough for the EPL - Buckley is a no for me.
