Your name is very suitable Raving
Butland, Becchio and Ince are being courted by big clubs, like Liverpool and do you think Gorkss would come back to us after we cast him away like a worn out glove?...

Must be too much Aussie machismo. Aussie rules, Rugby league, Rugby Union, Crocodile Dundee, Leighton Hewitt. What they prize most is work horses and battlers. Men who'll get stuck into a physical battle or even a spot of violence for their mates not players with skill. Guys who never say die even when they are being creamed off the park by their oppponents. It infects everyone who emigrates there.

I know they are targeted by PL clubs but we have to be in it to win it! Would be nice to finally be signing players that other clubs actually want!!

There are some decent players in the Championship for any Manager willing to take a risk or two:

    Glen Murray
    Matej Vydra
    Charlie Austin
    Will Buckley

That's exactly what I found Australian blokes to be like. Sportsmen in particular.

Quite a bit up their own arses a lot of them, I found.

Sure, Adel plays a good game here and there but he is seen to be a 'fair weathered friend' who shoots his month off and shows no respect for the club.
Yes, we Aussies like the battler who shuts up and does what he has to do .............. I make no apologies for that.
Some of you just happen to like show ponies when they are performing and say nothing when they're not.
I just try to look at the bigger picture ............... which is what's best for the club to survive and which players are going to help us.

    Brilliant post.

Contrary to what COL says, there's actually a significant number of people who believe this chap to be all show with no substance. There's LIUTB, Queens, Aussie, Myself, Eamon and I don't think Sooper is a million miles away from us either.

I believe there to be a lot more out there too.

Traore, Taarabt, Diakite, M'bia, Nelsen, Hill and Ephraim are worth keeping.

Possibly also Green, DJ, Onuoha and Zamora and Johnson if he's not totally crocked.

    The rest can eff off.

No coincidence you've listed those 3 particular players first

Boswinga? I don't think you would find he would get in Swansea's,Newcastle's or our team. Not if you transferred gim for free, paid his wages and gave him his bus fare. This kind of Big time Charlie mentality is why you are up **** creek in a barbed wire canoe.

You acknowledge he's got fight but if he's not good enough, who would you pick above him?

Correct me if I'm wrong but ............ I think 'Swords' and a number of us know that Adel has touches of brilliance and can we us a game BUT it is the fact that whenever Adel has a big game and scores a goal, the first thing he does is shoots his mouth off about wanting to play for RM and alike.

That is just ****ting on our club, his fellow team mates and we, the fans.

He IS good enough to win us a game BUT can he keep his mouth shut, have a genuine desire to work with his fellow team mates and back it up each week?
No, I don't think so ................. and that is what we need from him, especially now that we are in survival mode.
    The real top players can.
Problem is his mouth / attitude, won't let him reach that level.
Sincerely hope he proves me wrong.
I'm only too happy to eat humble pie ............. if we stay up.

As you say Swords, I'm not a million miles from this point of view, trouble is without Adel our creativity is absolute zero and his effort for the team has increased significantly since Harry arrived. There just seems to be a malaise that has afflicted the whole team and major surgery is needed...

Please don't count me in the anti-Adel camp. I am a fervent admirer of his and really can't understand those who criticise him. He is just about our only regularly creative player, he's got over the immaturity he used to show and works his socks off (see the stats elsewhere on this forum). The only criticism I would accept is that he overdoes it sometimes. But then, if you want the moments of genius, you have to accept that it isn't going to work 100% of the time. I just wish some of our other players worked as hard as him. I really believe he cares.

That's too much, Beth, and, I suspect, just an over-reaction to our recent troubles. My personal view:

Cisse: I don't care whether he stays or goes. I prefer someone harder working upfront.

Granero: stay: his head's not right atm but earlier in the season we all sang his praises and he will come good again.

Ferdinand: go: fourth choice CB at Sunderland when he joined us. A championship player.

Fabio: don't feel strongly: a headless chicken, positionally suspect but works hard. Not had much chance to impress but could do a job for us.

Bosingwa: go: will never have the right attitude.

Hoilett: stay: good player, not been given much opportunity, better than SWP, will come good if given game time.

Diakite: stay: showed huge potential not so long ago. Will come good in the longer term.

Dyer: go: good when he's played but is never fit and is a waste of a squad place.

Johnson: remove from squad due to injury. Looked fairly good in his few games for us.

Ephraim: go: lightweight (literally), waste of a squad place.

Park: stay: hugely disappointing so far but he works hard and I wish we had players with his work rate playing against Liverpool. Could yet do a job for us.

Zamora: stay: had some good games for us, less so when he was playing with his injury. Works hard, holds the ball up well and brings other players into the game. Plus he'll score a few.

Ferdinand (not been the same player since Terry incident), Boswinga, Green, SWP, Dyer can go permanently
Decent centreback, and two fullbacks that have pace to come in. And sign Charlie Austin.......he knows where the goal is
Would love to see Hoilett given more playing time

The fact Dyer is on your books speaks volumes i'm afraid.

The sad thing however is that you are obsessed with making that point over and over and over and over and over and over again. Is there nobody else in the team who deserves your criticism? Every single time to read your posts it would appear that we are ****e because Taarabt has dropped a clanger. We're not. We're ****e because we're ****e as a team.

Pick on another target apart from Adel and other posters might start to take notice of what you say. Over and over and over and over and over and over again.
