Badly want to beat them as well

Well there you go. Chilco getting all confused over the page as well. Isn't it just easier to say that we badly want to beat everybody..? :)

It's not as if we are playing some team like Accrington Stanley in a friendly, where we could say of James Beattie's team... you know what, it would be a laugh if they beat us..!

My default position is that, in a competitive situation, I badly want Saints to beat everybody. Perhaps, just sometimes I badly want us to beat teams 3-0 instead of 1-0, especially when I've predicted the score. :)

I think we owe a few teams a right good tonking, for results from the past, but that's another matter.

I can see where you are all coming from on us (Norwich) The only thing with Hughton is that time and again he has pulled it out of the fire.It wouldn't surprise me at all to get to the tail end of the season and get a 1-0 win against Liverpool or Man U to save his bacon.I think it's Fulham,Cardiff +1 And there are probably still seven contenders. My sneaking suspicion on this is Sunderland,I can see them having had their revival and falling away.WBA also seem incapable of getting more than a single point out of games. How important was that injury time penalty they conceded at Stamford Bridge?

If you stay up, would you prefer to stick with Hughton the next season or try someone else?

Well I suppose McNally the chairman pretty much summed it up when he said Hughton's brief was to keep us out of the bottom three, and of course since October he has.I suppose the main complaint is the fact that virtually every game is 0-0 0-1 or 1-0 with backs to the wall performances the norm.We havn't got the players to do Swansalona stuff so I suppose we are stuck with it.If Cardiff and Fulham are the yardsticks is there anything to be gained?

I think Houghton's a good manager. Did well with Newcastle and Birmingham and, in fairness, he doesn't have a great squad at Norwich so they should be in a relegation battle. They beat Man City last year on the final day so they could do something spectacular this year too.

Is that in hind-sight?

I can remember very well, at the start of the season, so many fans of other clubs (including a good number of Saints fans on here) were saying the exact opposite <laugh>

I hate to say it, but I reckon the result of the West Ham game will be down to the Referee and his officials, rather than how well we play!

EDIT\: I didn't know it was Clottenburk when I first posted this, I haven't changed my mind though.

Guilty.
I expected more goals from those new players. I guess it's not quite as simple as that.

You did buy a lot of quite good players, but none were that great. Both of our teams got to the PL when, on paper, our squads weren't good enough. Our squad at the start of the PL season was awful, but with some August additions and some unity we avoided the drop. Not sure if Norwich have the same team spirit as under Lambert due to all the signings, but it's hard to blame Houghton as PL did wonders at Norwich. Saints bought only a few players this season, but all were top players (including one who could have been great if he hadn't headbutted a team mate!).

Some hard matches for the teams at the bottom this week. Palace host Man U. Sunderland travel to Arsenal. Stoke go to Man City and there are two big 6 pointers with West Brom facing Fulham and Cardiff taking on Hull. Norwich badly need to beat Spurs at home or they could well find themselves in the bottom 3.

Saints can now make 7th imo. Please win @ West Ham again on saturday and help shut up big Sam. Lol.
With you there FT I soooooo want to beat them!
Don't we soooooo want to beat everybody, Lamb..? I would have thought it almost goes without saying. :)
True TSS but I think we owe fat Sam one. And nolan!

West Ham going down would be soooooooooo great and grand imo. I have still not forgiven them for the Tevez fiasco nevermind what they are doing to Leyton Orient. Sullivan, Gold and Brady need to suffer the drop.

Good Luck saturday and a 3 goal winning margin for you guys would put you above Man Utd. Well for a couple of hours at least.

Mark Clattenburg has your match with Darren Deadman on board duties.

NB. Cardiff v. Hull has England's Brazil World Cup Officials(Howards Webb with Mullarkey and Cann) messing up,, sorry Working in tandum and practising again. :bandit:

Get over the Tevez thing already you scummy little prick. We arn't going anywhere. Orient can f**k off as well, they are a nothing club with a few hundred fans.

It doesn't matter how many we win by (if we do win) because Carroll, had he been available, would have scored more than however many we score single handedly...

Well I don't feel so bad about Trixter now. Do you think they have to pass a 'knob' test on the shammers forum?

Well unfortunately you never got your wish but your safe anyway, I think cardiff and fulham are gone myself but the last place is up for grabs and having looked at the fixtures for the run in then Norwich need to start to improve or they could be the one's, I hope not as i like norwich as they use to play great football and i cant understand why they have stopped as grant holt never was the difference surely..
