My dream would be for Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea to be relegated!! Sadly it won't happen!! Will feel a little sorry for the teams that go but then it is up to them to re-organise themselves to get back up!! Fully expect the teams that are relegated to be heavily involved in the play-off/promotion race - similar to Wigan, Reading and QPR this year!! Sunderland usually bounce back pretty quickly, as do Villa and West Brom should one of those two go, and one of the current bottom three drag themselves out, which often happens.
What's the betting that they 'leaked' their team to us before the game, but told us a pack of lies and that's why we lost?
Swansea probably now safe. Villa, given their GD, probably need just one more point to avoid going into the last day sweating. Opportunity missed for Cardiff, but still not a bad point. Two wins from their last three gives them a very strong chance. Of Fulham's final six games, today's always looked the hardest. So a defeat for them shouldn't really change much from where they're standing.
Slowly turning into yet another horror weekend for Norwich. And they've still got the annual Suarez hat-trick against them to come yet.
So what will happen this weekend. A home win for Fulham and Norwich will be inthe bottom 3 by the time they play at United. Giigs is bound to get a reaction as well. Sunday brings a massive 6 pointer for Sunderland and Cardiff.
Not sure we can say for certain yet that we're down to three from four, but I suspect we will be able to if Sunderland and Cardiff draw tomorrow. Given Norwich's last two fixtures, and the fact that Villa and WBA have a nice GD cushion over all of the bottom four, I think it would be stretching it to suggest that two of the bottom four could overtake either Villa or WBA, were tomorrow's game to finish a draw.
4-0 Have to say Sunderland deserve to stay up playing like this. Hate the whole business as I don't really want anyone to go down (apart from West Ham or ManU and that isn't going to happen).
Very plausible that we could go into the final weekend of the season with WBA on 36 points, Villa and Sunderland on 35 points, and Fulham on 34 points. Could lead to all sorts of twists and turns on the final day. Sunderland lose to Man Utd, but beat WBA in their game in hand. Villa lose to Hull, and then lose to Man City in their game in hand. Fulham beat Stoke. WBA lose to Arsenal, and then lose said game in hand against Sunderland. And potentially Cardiff and Norwich could still be in the mix too.
No training for Fulham this week, they should just be kicking themselves. What a chance they had, & blew.
