With the new season just over a week away. I was wondering who do we think will be the next players into Sunderland?

Verginin is apparently set to finalise a season long loan and Borinin . . . . who knows what's going on there?!?!

So who are the remaining pieces of the jigsaw? Didn't Gus say that it may shock some people?

Any thoughts?

I reckon we're nailed on to get 2 domestic loans. 1 from Man City, 1 from Chelsea. I'll guess Victor Moses from Chelsea and James Milner from Man City. I just got a feeling

Would love that mate, two fringe players from their respective clubs who could possibly shine under poyet & co!

City need to retain an English quota I think, selling Rodwell and maybe Sinclair, I'd imagine they'd wanna keep hold of Milner this season. I've said Moses since before the transfer window opened, a quality player on his day that appears surplus to requirements given his competition at Stamford Bridge.

Central defender is a must but I guess that is Vergini.

If we can shift Graham, N'Daiye, Ba (loan) & Scocco already gone then there is more than enough room for further recruits.

Moses is a great, we still have a thin squad and no cover could be the difference between relegation and staying up.

Borini will hopefully be the last big buy and others will be squad fillers.

I'm sure Milner was making noises last week saying he wanted more playing time this season and to be fair to him he's a quality player who should be playing more. Whether he's good enough to be playing regularly for city is open to debate. I think it's possible he could move on

We need a centre back as well as virgini imo

Yeah, no arguments with any of that, other than them having to satisfy the home grown quota I can't see him being given any more game time this season than he was last. City have maybe 3 Englishmen on their books now and all but Joe Hart have been linked with moves away.

City are an embarrassing representation of modern English football, having them represent us on the continent is a joke, I'd sooner get behind Liverpool than that bunch of foreigners.

One of my mates reckons Van Gaal will chop Hernandez out of the team today, making him available.

I reckon he'll have plenty of offers but I think if he does go he'll end up leaving for Borini money, around £12-14m.

He suits this league as well, I don't really want to see him leave to be honest but he deserves game time...

Would you lot have him over Borini?

yes

No, because I wouldn't fancy him in the role Borini plays. Would take Welbeck though!

Can't see Hernandez not getting a better option and before you start same goes for us.
