Breed of shark? FFS, you turn your back for two minutes and humans have started breeding sharks. I think Species is the aord you are looking for.

With all of these hypothetical fights it all comes down to the attacker. Sharks and Hippos can both be aggressive, have huge mouths and either huge or very sharp teeth.

If A Hippo attacks a great white it sticks its big teeth right through it and the shark is ****ed. Likewise, If a large great white takes a huge chunk out of a Hippo, there is every chance the Hippo is ****ed.

All comes down to who gets the first attack in....

Id go Hippo as all you have to do to paralyze a shark is turn it upside down.

I can confirm (from personal experience) that a hippo would win.

Some years ago, whilst winning the world surfing championship in Hawaii, a shark jumped out of the water and tried to eat me whole. Fortunately, whilst riding the wave, I managed to punch the shark full on the nose, grab his fin, circle him around my head, before throwing him back into the ocean - all whilst remaining on my surfboard.

The hippo, on the other hand, proved much harder to handle. Whilst attempting to break the world record for kayaking up the Nile (solo), I encountered a female hippo (fairly attractive), who tried to "do me". We tussled for at least 23 minutes in the water (killing 6 crocodiles in the process) before calling it a draw. For info, even though I wasted those 23 minutes, the hippo ate my oar, I still broke the world record whilst paddling with my bare hands.

I'd doubt very much if Jamie C has the same sort of phactual proof that I do!

That's only because I missed out the fight with the Anaconda and free-falling from outer-space (without a parachute) and breaking both my legs on landing, but fixing them myself. I omitted those elements otherwise it would have seemed like I was showing off.

I live in a world where Hippos and sharks are a very real concern in everyday life.
