Totally agree get QPR and Reading well away from us and then it's one from four or five rather two from five or six. So Sunderland win for me -which having just looked at the score is what it will be any how!
Watched the entire Sunderland game. Reading as woeful as ever, Sunderland really not a team to be scared of, even without Lallana all they do is pump it towards Fletcher.
Said that a few weeks ago...would rather worry about one place...just don't want us to be one of four at the bottom. Have to keep plugging away.
Yep, I'll take that. Annoying that Sunderland did their GD so much good, but like I said, the one result I did not want was a Reading win. If they and QPR are cut right adrift come January, who on earth would sign for them? And they only way I can either surviving right now is through making signings next month.
Reading were dire having watched the low lights. Even without Adam we should haved too much for thm at St Mary's.
As others have mentioned, it's to our benefit if the bottom two sink beyond hope...at that point, it's simply a matter of not being the worst of the rest, and the odds are fairly good that another team will go on a stretch of poor play that we won't match. Feel for Reading, who were so good over the second half of last year, but they really haven't done much to differentiate themselves from the good Championship squad that they were a year ago.
We would like to think so, but lower sides seem to be able to get a surprise result which we haven't done so far (though we came close a couple of times).
Yup, this. You know a club's situation is bad when players start refusing to play. I hear Danny Guthrie refused to travel. Good news for us, as he is class.
Don't have all the facts, but disgraceful to refuse to play. Together as one...if you win together, you fail together. You can't distance yourself from it as if it is nothing to do with you.
Yeah and he was supposed to be their star midfielder this season. http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/brian-on-guthrie-121212-539052.aspx Hard to imagine the miracle that will save Reading, in fact given QPR's run of home games I am sure it won't be long before they are bottom. Last night's result was inevitable really. Also according to hob nob (viewer caution advised) they had 277 away fans last night
