Lived with my Nan in 1973 for a while after we came back from Africa .
Lovely part of the world . My younger sister now lives in Exeter .
I was born in Newton Abbott and brought up in nearby Teignmouth, moved to Southampton when I was 7. Don't know North Devon so well and have only ever passed through Exeter on a train. As you say it's a lovely part of the World and i've been back several times to visit relatives and the beaches on the English Riviera.
Me too Woops, do you have South Devon roots too?...Up the Gulls!..
I also follow Southampton's second best club in red and white stripes, Sholing FC.
No Saints_Alive - born in Surrey, moved down with family to Portsmouth when I was 11. I just love the West Country (mainly the South Hams & Torbay) from holidays as a kid, and then taking my own children there when they were young. Have been to Plainmoor a number of times when Torquay have played Pompey in pre-season games. Quaint little ground. Don't like Plymouth much though

Yes, I wish we never moved from idyllic South Devon to a Southampton council estate when I was 7...cheers Dad!
