When I was younger I watched loads of Serie A. Guess it was 'vogue' in the 90's. Channel 4 had Football Italia ("Gooooolllllllazooooo!") which i watched religiously as a kid. I think it was USA 94 that got me hooked. No England so Italy became 'my team' in that tournament. What a squad they had. Costacurta, Maldini, Baggio, Albertini. Bought the shirt with my birthday money which was just before the world cup and cried when Roberto Baggio sent his penalty into orbit. I was captain of my primary school team and spent the next year insisting everyone referred to me as 'Il Capitano'. Guess I've always been a bit of a twat Kind of lost interest as Serie A declined and became embroiled in scandals and in-fighting. But watching the likes of Del Piero, Totti and Weah on a Sunday afternoon helped wonders after a saturday spent watching the likes of Nethercott and Postiga.
Spurs is the only team I support but I sometimes keep an eye out for Ajax and Fener results. On my 23rd birthday me and the boys went Amsterdam and they surprised me with tickets to Ajax vs PSV (Ajax won 3-1), was an incredible experience and due to their Jewish heritage like Spurs, I've looked out for their results at sporadic times. One of my best mates is a Spurs and Fener fan, he's the leader of a section of Fener's GFB. He took me to their pre-season match against Sheff Utd a few years back, was absolutely mental and the way they supported their club was tremendous. I've been to their social club in Dalston a few times as well, they've given me front row seats to watch games against Besiktas and Gaziantepspor in the past, as a thank you I was able to get my mate and 5 of them tickets to Spurs vs Besiktas a couple of years back. There's now a sort of mutual respect between my mates and the GFB boys, whenever we all meet up it's a great laugh, the Turkish lads (most of which are English-born) sing Spurs stuff and we do our very best (which is terrible) to try and sing Fener ones
I was working in Istanbul for a couple of years and my colleague was a big Besiktas fan. Took me along to a few games and I spent less times watching the games than I did avoiding flares or witnessing opposing fans knifing each other. We thought we had problems!!
Vim Leyton Orient for me as well grew up in the area(wherabouts were you?) , but my grandad was a Spurs season ticket holder. Because of my age i couldn't travel to too many WHL games but could get to the Orient ground very easily

My old man is a Swindon fan and they’re my local team. For years we went to the county ground, when I was a kid/ teenager in the 90’s. So naturally I still look out for how they’re getting on (which isn’t very good to be honest), even though I don’t get to go so much these days. Over the last 12 years or so I’ve also followed Bristol City’s results, as one of their former players of 9 years is now a relative of mine through marriage. Sadly I didn’t get the opportunity, but many of my family members got to go to that Man united game at Ashton Gate on Wednesday night. Thoroughly enjoyable, I’ve been informed.
Southampton . Because that is the city my parents were offered after leaving Africa . Not so much a supporter now , ask me a question about Formula 1 . I’m better at that . Merry Christmas everyone
I've been a Juventus supporter ever since 1978 when there were 9 Juve players in the Italian world cup squad. I used to watch Barnet until they moved from Underhill.
