I had high hopes when this season started so well for the 'phins with our 3-0, but now we're back to where we usually are, on a losing season.
Agreed, although a couple of our wins weren't exactly 'convincing', I too had high hopes. Can't see a wildcard berth for us now.
Detroit Lions Philadelphia Eagles New England Patriots Oakland Raiders Pittsburgh Steelers Seattle Seahawks Carolina Panthers Tennessee Titans Probably in that order, been watching on and off since 2004 when Brady was still a young punk.
Welcome SC! I'm a bit partial to Ilchester applewood smoke on a poppy and sesame cracker, have you tried that combination Silvercheese? Anyway, I'll put you down for Detroit if that's your No1 team.
Bears. Also like the Giants and the Raiders. Singletery. Perry, McMahon, Payon. Brill. Were the vintage bears the best ever Football Team? Remember the LAR with Matt Milne and Lyle Alzado rip.
Hi Albatross, the 85 Bears, what memories. They massively helped to cement the sport's popularity back then. The Fridge, Jim McMahon, Walter, Iron Mike, Mike Singletary just a few names from a list of legends. They really should have won more SB with the talent they had though.
The Superbowl XX team? Probably not been a better team in the whole time I've been following NFL. However, the Bart Starr Packers (North America's only publicly owned sports team and, therefore, only non-franchise) managed by Lombardi (so good, they named the trophy after him) with their five championships and two superbowls have to be up there. In case anyone hadn't guessed by now, I support the Big Bay Blue, the Cheeseheads, Titletown Wisconsin and will happily prattle on for hours why every non-American should be
Rams fan here. Came within a game of .500 with a lousy backup QB at the helm, and still finished in last place. Shows how tough the NFC West was this year. Playoffs in 2014!
Hi there, nice to see you here. Another WW fan you must be relieved, now that the English football season has finished. I know I am.
Dad used to be a 49ers fan when he caught the NFL on Terrestrial TV in the 80s/90s so they are my team. Love the name as well. However I owe it to Seattles defensive performance in the 2014 Superbowl for (finally!) getting into the sport. That was when I realised what a great tactical sport this is. I'm a real newbie so I'll soak up the thoughts and knowledge here as much as I can, and get involved where I can. To put it into perspective only today did I read up on how the play-offs are formed go easy on me Hope the 49ers can improve their record as their players return from injury. Cheers folks
