Liverpool City Whoever is closest to us in the title race We only really have genuine rivalry with Liverpool and City in terms of wanting to win the games just to beat them. The only other rivalry in my book is with the club or clubs we are competing with for the title. The Chelsea and Arsenal matches haven't really had any rivalry to them for the past few years now, it's only been about trying to get three points for the league.
Fair point. Although if we get drawn against Leeds it would be in one of the domestic cups, and I'd always take three points in the league over a cup victory against a rival, unless it was an FA Cup semi or one of the finals. If Leeds were in the PL they would be third after City.
Now Bacon face has gone and Moyes takes you to Europa Cup land you will be able to hate a whole different bunch of teams Oberon.
AVB being our manager has definitely added more spice to the Spurs/Chelsea fixtures. What ever you Chelsea boys might desperately try to make me believe, there is absolutely no way you relish the idea of being beaten by a man whom you all treated so appallingly.
Leeds may not be in the prem but our rivalry with them still stand strong. I was at Elland Road for the cup game this season and... well... it was the best away match i've ever been to on an atmosphere level. Two teams that farking hate each other and it was sensational. I'd take a win at their place over 3 points tbh... The feeling coming out of there after that was immense. Top rivalry. Leeds v Chelsea is probably the biggest rivalry where the teams ain't located near each other
At Chelsea no employee or player is bigger than the club. For you it is AVB v Chelsea or more likely, Bale v Chelsea
That's all it will ever be because it will never actually happen because psychologically AVB is intimidated by Chelsea and he will always send his teams out against us defeated before a ball is kicked.
