Beautiful goal for Modric though. Man City will have to pay a bit more for him now.

Feck.
Modric.

To be fair though, Spurs have been all over Bolton. You'd have thought Bolton would be putting up more of a fight and showing more tenacity in their play, but they've really been poor. You genuinely would think they are comfortable in mid table, rather than battling for their lives.

Spurs have never won at The Reebok so I still have hope Bolton can turn it around. However, if they continue with this pathetic display in the second half, they will get mauled.

Agree, awful perfromacne so far from bolton.

I'm still mystified as to HOW Boyata missed that....

He was 5 yards out, no-one marking him and he blazed it over the bar into row z.

Do Bolton actually want to win this game? Because even if they equalised, it would have been against the run of play.

Its pathetic mate. Should of buried that.

Should of been a free kick to bolton. Fed up of the refs costing us this year

Spuds benefiting from some favourable refereeing decisions in this game.
Should have been a free kick to Bolton for handball before the modric goal and Bolton should have had a stonewall penalty.

When you create very few chances and a opportunity like that comes along, you have to make the most of it.

Bolton can't play as poor as that in the second half though, otherwise they will get tonked.

Even though Boyata missed a sitter, you could equally argue that Spurs should be 3 or 4 goals ahead because they've carved through Bolton's defence so easily.

I think it was more just a poor from bolton and they have opened up for the spuds to go through them easily. Lucky donkeys like bale cant produce any end product ever.

There is hope.

Spurs away record is dire.

They have never won at the Reebok.

Owen Coyle is not the kind of manager who would put up with a substandard performance like that... hopefully he will fire them up for the second half.

Hopefully there won't be any records broken tonight...

Well it is very feasible that the spuds win thsi and their last 2 games - basically i dont think that we can rely, as we have been, on other teams faltering. If we want 3rd, we're oing to have to earn it ourselves and I think that will mean 2 wins. I am hopeful that the players pick up, because over the last 6 games we have only 8 points , and over the last 3 just 2 points. Not good enough at this stage of the season. If we are caught and miss CL football, which is a real possibility, we will only have ourselves to blame.

We seriously need all three of Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle to drop points.

In an ideal situation, Chelsea and Newcastle draw, whilst Spurs lose.

Chelsea seem to have upped the tempo and the urgency in their play in the second half, but we need to see a more resilient Bolton in the second half. Otherwise I can't see Bolton getting anything from the game. They need the points just as much as we need Spurs to drop them.
Thats what makes their play even more bewildering. At home to a very poor side and desperate for points to stay up. Surely they can get up for 2nd half. That half was awful espicially when they cut to (camara shots) happy spud fans after their goal <grr>

I would expect arsenal to get 6 points playing two teams that have nothing to play for and already thinking of their summer holidays
