I should add that I can easily see us starting the season having signed Bertrand/Van Aanholt, Caulker, Immers, Pelle, Rhodes and Andros Townsend. That's what worries me. Must move forwards.

I`ve never seen Pelle or Immers, but RK reckons they`re good enough, then why not. Nobody other than us were prepared to take a punt on Rickie, and he turned out OK.

Yes. not a bad signing per se but plenty of better full backs out there we could attract I think. Same with Caulker, Pelle etc. I suspect Ron has got a list otherwise he wouldn't have taken the job - just hope we can get the ones at the top of the list rather than settle for middle of the road signings and move backwards.

He could swap hairdressing tips with Joe Hart at corners. Big Nancy.

That is precisely the problem. Obama has been largely ineffective in terms of achieving what he set out to do whilst looking the part. People think Boris is a bumbling fool yet he is very very effective for the people he is representing. That we outside London don't see it is nothing to do with it. He fights for London and gets things done.

And I think he is more likable. Obama is like Kruger. He is a very good speaker. Can talk for 20 minutes without actually saying anything. Boris is funny, charming, sometimes innocent, sometimes naive and honest. Gets into trouble sometimes for being honest but I prefer that to the polished managed stage performer that Obama is.

Victor has played in the centre back position before? I mean if we are desperate this could be an option?

Why do you think we'll be desperate? We have about 70m to spend.

You have to be a polished performer and have stacks of money behind you to get to be President of America. Too much schmoozing needed. You also have to have a wife and at least one child....get yourself a couple of pets and you are in.

As far as I can tell from my (limited) research, Graziano Pelle is just a big no9 target man. So we're just going to be whipping it in from the wings for him to nod it in now, and this is how we will play football next season? I was lucky enough to see Lallana score vs Hull and Newcastle last season, and I enjoyed watching Shaw tear it up on the left wing, and all the silky skills of Lambert. Signing Pelle won't help my mood.
