That wasn't the point you implied. Anyway, I think the Jak will leave - He's better than the Championship despite what our resident goalkeeping experts think.
Poor lad. Wanted the ground to swallow him up after letting in a late howler against Villa which cost Brighton the Championship trophy. Lay on the ground at the end with his jersey covering his face.
There's no clairvoyance required to see that people are disappointed. They were absolutely crestfallen when the first goal went in and it killed us. It amazes me that anyone thinks these professionals who've prepared all week for this massive game would underestimate its importance or Sunderland's ability. Can you really see Silva allowing complacency? They'll have been hammering it into the lads all week. Sadly **** happens in one off matches. It's not exactly a theme is it. We got ourselves into this **** position earlier in the season.
So, in conclusion 9 pages later, we can't think of anyone suitable for next season. There does seem to be a real dearth of obvious candidates.
As long as we get a manager who waves back when we sing give us a wave I don't mind who we get. Bloody Marco Silva ignoring us.
I hope MS isn't reading this (why would he) .... you're all giving up on him before the ****ing season is over. Give your ****ing heads a a(s)hake.. !!!!
I'm not saying he's a complete waste. We could just have made far better use of £5m when we already had McGregor and Eldin - plus Kuciak, who was later released.
Next season could be a carbon copy of the 1st season under Nigel Pearson. A struggle, until a late play-off push is wrecked by a home defeat to a side already relegated.
