Silva might be the kind of guy who takes relegation personally and wants to put it right , and don't you need an away win before the likes of Inter Milan come calling? ....., ok I'm dreaming , it will be dowie or Dave Jones

Yes there is the usual elements of both poodle-ism (already seen once this season with 'all hail Mike Phelan' to 'bloody rubbish Phelan') and armchair manager syndrome.
In truth both have had to make do and mend with poor squads, as our entire season has been sabotaged by the owner's son who didn't have the balls to sack a manager respected by his dad, so fatally prolonged his exit.
Sacked groundsmen etc are just the detail and a distraction from deep-seated malaise which is taking us down.
    It starts at the top.

People don't think you are stupid just because you thought Sunderland would win, BCC.

Can we plan ahead with hindsight? That may be the way forward, looking back on it.

Cheers. Forgot to put the smiley on to show it was intended as a good natured remark.

    I said three nil.

    I was ridiculed too

I just knew we'd come unstuck and saw Defoe as the match winner.

I generally don't after we've lost. It was foolish of me, and I apologise for interrupting your enjoyment.

Rightly so. Not only did you get the score wrong but you can't be the match winner if your team wins by more than one goal.

Maybe the Allams could nick Gary Monk from TWS. That would be funny.

I thought Martin Keown on MOTD2 extra today offered the best explanation of why City froze. It helped that he was speaking from experience of being in a relegated team. True 'must-win' games are rare. Yesterday was the first such fixture of our season and, basically, the team were paralysed by anxiety. Perhaps it might have been a different outcome if Swansea had played first, and lost. As it was, they went into the game knowing it was no longer a 'must win' as it would have been had we beaten Sunderland. I think that makes sense.
