    How about Nuno Santos?

Relatively young, decent win record with Valencia and Porto.

I think it will be someone left field and on recommendation of Silva (Allams really respect him and his opinion )

Pellegrino has just left Alaves. The Allams have gone for a surprise before.

We know the Allams don't like paying compo, so don't expect us to be poaching another Championship manager.

We also know they like a good CV, so expect someone who's achieved something already, either here or abroad.

I also think, despite boy blunders daft 'play that suits our philosophy' comments, he did like it when people were complimenting our style of play under Silva.

So I expect a current free agent, with a reputation for attacking football, probably someone decent.

Whoever it is will have to have something about him. You cant go from Silva to a Warnock... it'll kill the players.

RB Leipzig's Ralph Hasenhüttl - just finished second in the Bundesliga.. but he's probably on a mint as they're sponsored by Red Bull?

Aberdeen's Derek McIness.. second to Celtic and two cup finals?

Portsmouth's Paul Cook - won the League 2?

all these are probably under contract though...

Think you are spot on with this.

The interview on Friday backs up this, with the reference to "we will see who applies", shows we won't be poaching anyone.

I think Santos is a good shout, managed in top leagues in Spain and Portugal, good contacts abroad, still young, plays attacking football, and free at the moment

Why can't managers with a job currently throw their hat in the ring? Happens in every other job application process.
