Who Could Be the Next Manager

I am surprised by the talk of O'Neill becoming Saints mamager as it ignores the most obvious possibility which is , given Portsmouth's league position, how safe ia Mousinho's job ? I think he has done a fantastic job at Fratton Park but O 'Neill would surely be a shoo in if they decided to part ways with him. I think O' Neill would take them up next season .

 

It makes you wonder about that 'fan panel' - surely somewhere on there would have said to Spors, "look mate, I know you're looking at people right now, but Gary O'Neil would be a pretty myopic move, and would strongly advise you don't take that kind of risk".

I honestly don't get the attraction of O'Neil, a career win% of 31 as a manager albeit in the PL doesn't inspire confidence in me.

No, Romeu was playing for us what, three seasons ago. O'Neil left Pompey in 2007, 18 years ago.

I'd say it would be more like if someone like Claus Lundekvam suddenly became the Pompey manager. Would be a bit weird, but not much more.

 

He's played many more games for the Skates than he has been as a manager, it's a hard no from me.
