Good in the first half and anonymous in the second half.

He wasn't 'awful' but he was useless. The one chance he set up was a result of blindly stumbling into the box and took acrobatics for Ba to actually get a shot away.

You're so ****ing fickle it's unbelievable. If Shola had scored that chance he had as soon as he came on people would be jizzing all over him. Leon did well today and I'm a massive fan of him but he didn't have a single shot, Demba was our only real threat whereas Shola can score and make the keeper work. All the people saying we should have brought Ben Arfa on clearly haven't been watching the same matches as me, he gives the ball away far too often and only creates maybe one or two chance in 90 minutes so how can you expect him to win a match in 10.

Ah, youre right. Whereas Sameobi actually does create numerous chances. We look like we're going to score 6 goals every time he comes on. He is definitely ready for the premier league. **** it, Sameobi for England.

I know we're all a bit baffled as to why Ben Arfa wasn't used but you have to remember that we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors and/or on the training ground. He might have been tired/not feeling well for whatever reason/not performing well in training recently/carrying a slight niggle...who knows! And if either of the Shola brothers had have scored, Pardew's subs would have been justified. You're all talking as if Ben Arfa had have come on, he would have won the game for us. That he might, but he might also have come on and done sod all. At the end of the day, we should have put our chances away in the first half when we had Swansea on the back foot.

Inconsistent. Excellent in the first half, disappeared completely second half. In the first half, most of our chances came through him.

He has an 80% pass succession rate this season.

I'm not fickle as not once in his 11 years with us have I raved about him and thought to myself '' well we've got quite a player on our hands here.''

If he had scored a hat trick today I would be happy and would love him for now , but ultimately I would know that it happens once every 15 games and that he's a lazy , not good enough player.

Disagree strongly you're just jumping on the shola defence bandwagon because he's a nufc player that gets stick.
On this game alone you think about the ONLY thing he did right which was one shot. One shot doesn't make a player. Noone has a 100% conversion rate so you need a lot more.

The reason we are fuming at Shola is that apart from one shot he was diabolical.

He must have had a fall out with Benny at half time against Chelsea. Pardews perfect apart from substitutions I guess. Sad to say I think even if he not made any at all we might have got the goal.

I'm not on about passing, I'm talking about when he has the ball at his feet. Shola gives away the ball all the time I recognise that but he also has an aerial presence and can threaten that way

Yeah but he creates so much. That's what we needed...one moment of brilliance, he would have given it to us.
