It’s already bad, Last night’s game has been on Sky news and Good Morning Britain, I’m going to avoid SSN all day today,
I was actually pleased for United when they won in 1999 as it was such a good game and first English winner in a while. Subsequent appearance I've not supported them but happy for a few of my United supporting mates and certainly not as bitter as you. Sure, I wouldn't particularly want United but I wouldn't chirp about it and I'd want the English players to put in a good showing.
Let's ask who we think WILL win the CL final. There's a reason Real Madrid are odds on favourites, they win finals. In my opinion Liverpool will not know what has hit them, a huge learning curve for Liverpool's youngsters and Klopp will be picking up the pieces like a tramp picking up fag ends.
Not sure why they’re favourites barring their history in this comp tbh. Defensively they’re mince and their left back can’t defend.....and he’s facing Salah... Unless the RS freeze on the day, I think they’ll beat them.
You write Real off at your peril. As Tel says, there’s a reason they’ve been so successful in Europe and why they’re in yet another final, despite not looking to be all that. I’ll hope Pool win as firstly their the ‘English’ team, and secondly cos it’ll piss off all the self entitled Real fans I know over here!
I want Liverpool to win - unless a special set of circumstances exist. Chelsea come 3rd, Spurs 4th and Liverpool 5th and Arsenal are in/have won the EL final (not sure which game's first). Only if EL and CL are won by teams outside top 4 will the 4th place not qualify. If, as is more likely, Chelsea occupy that spot then I'll get a red shirt and a perm for the day. Unless this happens, it'll be good to see an English team win. And I have a liking for Klopp, plays the game the right way. I think they will win too.
Liverpool's defence are worse Ramos will be by far the best defender on the pitch on the night. They should also have Carvajal back for the final. The main difference is that they have the best midfield imo, the very best, Liverpool can't even begin to compare, the skiprats midfielders will spend the night chasing shadows. I truly believe it will be a ruthless, merciless annihilation of Liverpool.
Bayern battered them over 2 legs and lost due to some bad luck and a goalkeeping howler. I just can’t see how they’ll keep that front 3 under control if they push on and defend a high line. I hope they start with Bale though, as his presence will ensure TAA has a torrid Evening, as he’s their weak spot as Roma showed yesterday
Roma put 6 past Liverpool over two legs. I like an underdog story as much as the next man trust me, but when it's time to dance I think Milner and Henderson will come unstuck against Isco, Modric and Kroos. The game will be won in midfield, I'll call that now.
