If indeed I was lying @Ponderings, why would Baz have said that I was a cheating **** in post #124 and then gone onto congratulate himself in post #125. He was just gutted that he copied my answer of Ritchie Valens and didn't use Mick's correct answer of Otis Redding. I shall freely admit, I got Mats Wilander from Baz, Maureen Lipman from Gambol and Otis Redding from Mick, but you need to get them somehow and I was the only person that managed it.

 

Yeah, I realised that after looking at him on wikipedia, you should have copied Mick O'Toon's answer of Otis Redding instead.

 

I actually knew the Redding one but googled the wrong tennis player

 

I got none out of the 3! I haven't even heard of Maureen Lipman! I still managed to mix and match the answers before anybody else did though

The sad thing is, I am the only person in the office this week which means I will obviously do **** all work and I will be wanting @Ponderings to do 2 sets of questions a day, at least.

I have certainly not accused you of lying, M, and completely understand your anger. Unfortunately I never saw the original post from PP and cannot say with any conviction whether or not he edited it. But I am confident PP will come out and admit any underhand activity, in which case you will be rightly awarded the prize. Until then, I will not be able to offer any new quizzes.

 

Just give him the prize, but you can't punish the rest of us by not giving any more quizzes. He did cheat though and I think everybody knows it.

 

Let us wait and see if PP does the right thing. I can see what has happened with regards to editing, but I would prefer for the record to be set straight before moving on from this sorry affair.

All sets of answers, whether right or wrong, should be offered via individual posts.

It is saddening to see my quiz abused in such a way.

I believe Monica was mistaken. I am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to this site and have no idea what he means being able to edit posts let alone carry out such a complicated process.

I believe that I am the correct winner and look forward to Monica stop acting the taig and being a sore loser though I'm sure that as a Timposter, he will not be able to act magnanimous in defeat and is desperately trying to recruit fellow republican's like @Mick Buxton's Allotment @Mick O'Toon and @Micky to 'taint' my win.

Disgusted? Yes.
Surprised? Sadly not.

Once you're as cultured as me, you just become more familiar with tarmac standards, building tastes, local flora and insects, my attention to details is second to none and through these skills, acquired through years of studying life, I was fortunate enough to score an extremely high score at geogessr.

It's tough being so good.

I'm hated but rated.

 

Just carry on with the quizzes Ponderings, but it is with a heavy heart that I have to say I will not be participating in them anymore. It has been emotional my friend and very enjoyable, but this is the end of the road for me. By doing this selfless act, I hope the rest of GC can enjoy your quizzes as much as I have. Goodbye all.
