I was born in Italy during the 1870s; after the death of my parents, I was sent to live in an orphanage
I ran away to Paris and began performing at café concerts and music halls; I married a Russian prince in 1900
I was often referred to as the ‘world’s most beautiful woman’; during WW1 I wrote a make-up advice column for Femina magazine
I worked as a nurse during WW2; my husband and I were killed during a bombing raid over Italy

I was born in South America during the mid-1940s; I made my professional football debut at the age of 15
I scored 7 goals at the 1970 World Cup but didn’t win the Golden Boot; I represented my country over 80 times
I had a brief spell playing for Marseille before returning to my homeland; I once finished ahead of Zinedine Zidane in a poll of the greatest footballers of all time
I’ve managed in Greece and Africa; my greatest coaching achievement was spotting a future FIFA World Player of the Year

I was born in the U.S during the first decade of the 20th century; I could have played professional NFL but I turned to acting instead
During the 30s and 40s, I worked on several films with Humphrey Bogart; I’m perhaps best known for my role in a popular fantasy sitcom of the 60s
I maintained a cattle ranch when not acting; I adopted a daughter and married a prolific B-movie actress
I died of double pneumonia on New Year’s Day 1969; you’ll find my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

    Wonderful.

    Thank you very much.

Firstly, I would like to thank Archers for getting the first one correct.

Secondly, and by all means lastly, I would like to thank Lain for taking my place as dumbest **** on the internet, for today.

    Thank you

The youngest of four children, I was born in London during the 1920s; I served during WW2 but saw little action
My big break in journalism came with ITN; however, I gave up this position for politics (I failed to win the seat for Hereford)
I was frequently lampooned by Spitting Image; my breathing problems were often evident live on air
I received a knighthood; I suffered from weight issues and died of heart complications in 2000

One of 12 children, I was born in Coventry during the 1930s; I served with the British Air Force Regiment as part of my National Service
After university, I worked as a Latin and French teacher; I eventually gave up teaching and started my own cleaning business
As a semi-professional sportsman, I played for clubs based in the Midlands; I represented my country 19 times
I appeared as a public speaker and wrote a column for the Financial Times; I died of a cerebral haemorrhage at the age of 53

I was born in Surry during the 1960s; my father was a well-known explorer and author
I started out as a researcher for Granada Television, then went on to secure a position as a reporter for BBC North
I’ve been with Sky News since the mid-90s and was the first journalist to arrive at Kensington Palace on the day Princess Diana died
I’ve appeared in a Tom Cruise movie and am a keen rower; I have two children
