Him being sacked before Lampard would be the most epic event ever in the Prem

The tears would solve the water shortage overnight

I remember end of last season listening to a Birmingham radio station on the way to a game. Most of the callers were Villa fans, and overall they weren't impressed, saying he's had his little golden spell but now needs to get better performances out of the team, one or two, saying he needed to go as they had no confidence in him taking them forward.
They must have been wanting 6 points from the first 2 games, as they have 5 difficult ones after, don't beat Everton next week and it could be a bleak start

I thought they had spent another load of dosh in Jan and after a little burst because Coutinho had a good spell they actually became worse probably because the squad had become unbalanced with in particular too many number 10 type players .
I know 3 Villa season ticket holders and all 3 while not saying he should go aren't impressed with how things were last season particularly considering the backing he got .

Yes mate, that seemed to be the general consensus, a couple saying they didn't think he had the experience to manage " such a big club' but mainly, give him the summer, let him get in a few of his own signings and give him a chance but don't think they were in the mood for giving him too long.

Villa v Everton at the weekend. Big relegation 6 pointer so early in the season that could go a long way to deciding the question of this thread.

    Villa and Everton were dreadful.

In fact Gerrard only got the W because they were up against Everton. Any other side it would have been more than likely a defeat.

Villa have spent more cash but look worse.

Everton, flopping around on the deck looking pathetic for most of a game and rightfully getting spanked.

They also spent good money on a winger who I consider one of the worst in the league. Pointless.

Stevie G is the main reason you had to wait so long to win the league, one of the most selfish players ever. Frank was a team player, which is why he won so much more.
