Hans the biggest problem though is the fact we DO just accept failure with consummate ease and then proudly wear it like some kind of badge of honour. For over 40 years we have been mediocre at best and when we dip below mediocre, we accept it so readily. I'm not saying we have any god given right to beat Reading or any club for that matter but I do think we should have more than 1 shot on target during a home games against ANYONE and certainly should not be losing a game such as yesterdays. We should be able to compete at least and be professional enough to get a point at least at Reading who were nothing more than a collection of huff and puff assembled for peanuts, whereas our team and squad cost over £65m to put together, with a highly recognised and respected manager; 2000 fans travelling and a team that should be well able to pick up points at such places these days.

I'm just at a loss as too why we cant even put together 2 or 3 game runs (not 5 or 6 games but just 2 or 3) at this level. Massive frustration and surely our expectation should be higher than Reading fans?

Most of us wont get the chance, getting into football management is usually about who you know, not what you know. If you were a pro and have got the connections its easy to get into. Then you get the chance to prove yourself.

For the rest of us the best thing we can do is debate the games and tactics on forums like this. If we all agreed all the time this would be quite a boring place.

I have often thought it must be quite boring being a Man Utd fan. You win almost all the time and you have the same manager for almost a lifetime. Maybe that's why they made such a fuss about the owners because they had nothing else to moan about.

I'm not wearing anything with a "badge of honour" - but nor am I going to wear sack cloth & ashes and self flagellate over lack of success, the teams ability to win 2 or 3 games in a row or beat "a huff and puff team" (that would be the same one Chelsea could not beat).

We could have spent double the £65 million Cest quotes, but you know fine well money does not guarantee anything in football - see QPR or our friends up the road for that matter.

If some of you want to wind yourselves up into a public display of frenzy for the amusement of others everytime we get beat, carry on, your doing a damn fine job.........

Hans Chelsea are a team in disarray mate and not a good example just now and just to remind you, our 'friends up the road' have had over 100 games in Europe in the time we have floundered up and down the leagues over the past 20 years alone. We have had 4 competitive games in Europe in our entire history.
