Hull City AFC is not a franchise that can relocate to where some wealthy owner wishes it to.

Nor is the name transferable to another city or region.

A new team in Welton is maybe what some people want?

    Fine.

    Welton Wildcats.

Good luck with that, as they say.

It's a pointless poll because there is no reason whatsoever that we should have to choose. Nor should Allam. I'm not convinced it's the real reason myself, but this idea of him getting rid of the word City just because it is shared with the council is ridiculous. Why would that bother him? It's not like we're named after the council or in any way related. How is there a link? Loads of clubs are called City and it's nothing to do with local councils.

RE Melton, it's a horrible idea but the club needs to make some money from somewhere and I completely support Allams plans to do that by developing the ground but if we don't even have a ground to develop and HCC won't let us have one what are we supposed to do? It would make far more sense than changing the name.

Why would an investor in Hull City want to build a new stadium at Melton when they could pick up the phone and talk to Hull City Council about improving the KC and developing the surrounding area at a fraction of the cost?

Especially if the investor is going to put hundreds of millions of pounds into our club to make us one of the richest clubs in the UK.

If we don't get the investment then where is Assem Allam going to get the money from to build the stadium?

namechange, that is the issue at Coventry - what do the owners do without a sky blues ricoh. yes they have concerts there in Coventry, but the location is all wrong for making any money out of the residents of that city. At least with the KC there is rugby league (which may not be ideal for the football percentage of council tax payers)

The rugby lot are skint and jacking up their pittance of a rent would seriously impact them.

No one would use the KC from September until March.

Isn't the rugby still subsidised by the football? Us paying for the stewards etc.

The rugby is still subsidised by the SMC and it looks like they need it.

I have no doubt with an astute owner in place in Adam Pearson they will soon be a top four club turning a healthy profit.

If City leave the KC, then the City will have a massive eye sore right on the edge of the city centre to deal with (or not).

People will come into Hull on the train and see a huge crumbling ****hole right infront of them, and that would really impress them.

The Allam's really wanted the KC for his sports centre and for his own means. If the Allam's wanted to build a sports centre why the **** would they do it in a village? No bugger in Hull would go to it. Mind you, he's got loads of meffs believing City can attract a global brand, so maybe he can pull the wool over your eyes once more.

We didn't sell enough tickets to make them viable.

I thought it was a visit to the region to thank them for naming a nearby town and airport after their brother, Donny?
