Henderson was bought for the RW, not the CM he's been playing last season with Sunderland. If you take a look at his chances created, I think he's at the very top so it's obvious what he was bought for... to create chances.

Maybe if the players were the same in their ability etc, but were actually Spanish, Italian, French or German it would be more acceptable?
Can you explain what you mean by this? I would have thought we would've had an outside chance of getting Mata and Cazorla if we wanted them. No chance we could've bought Aguero though. Then there's another thing you seem to be forgetting about - WAGES!
To be honest, i'm perfectly happy with the team we have at the moment. If we can keep improving the squad, we will keep progressing. It's not all about the big names. You have got to have a group of players that can play well together, not a bunch of individuals.
How can you say any of Kenny's transfers have been mistakes? Just how many games have they played together? Until we see them play a full season, we can't label them one way or another. I've said it in a thread before, but I feel (and this is just an opinion based on what I've personally seen, or heard from those who watch the Spanish league) the likes of Downing/Adam/Henderson may not have this 'bit of magic' as you call it, but they'll give you a 7-8/10 almost every game on average. I'd rather someone put in a solid shift week in week out as opposed to someone who'll play a 10/10 game once every 4, and a 5/10 all the others. The fact is, how a player performs in another European league isn't a 100% indication of how they'll perform in the PL. By buying players already based in England, you know to a certain extent what you're gonna get. We're not at a stage where we can take risks on luxury players who may not perform over here. Also, countless articles have been written about the Downing/Mata thing, many of which point out that Downing will stick to the wing (something we didn't have) whereas Mata will look to cut inside (something we have in abundance - Maxi, Cole, Meireles...just about anyone we put on the wing really)
If you compare our signing this summer to the one's last summer i think you will see a vast improvement. Any comparison of players that we "could" have bought is as stupid as saying we should have bought ronaldo, messi, tevez etc. The player's we have bought are proven quality premiership players, they may not be the best in the world but kenny shouldn't be taking risks at this point. We need to rebuild the team so we have decent depth within the squad not just a few good players but overall quality. IMO there will be a fair few youngsters coming through the ranks in the next few years and with good overall quality and a few choice signings LFC will be a force in the near future. I for one am very happy with KK signings so far, he clearly has a vision which you couldn't say about our last few manager's all you have to do is believe. YNWA
