Make that triplets, Dai and Bluey. The first match I went to after leaving Ireland was the 1972 Eufa Cup final between Spurs and Wolves at the Lane, courtesy of my Tottenham mad uncle. What a night! I could also be seen at Somerton Park when Newport were playing midweek on the odd occasion.
Unfortunately, dad passed nearly 20 years ago. Far too young. Never got to see us in the premier league. After the funeral, not much more than a bag of sherbet.
For me its only ever been the Bluebirds since my uncle took me to Ninian Park to watch a draw against Derby. My only contribution to this thread really is that, like most of us, I used to look forward to updating the Shoot magazine league ladders each week and always wanted Villa to do well. I also liked the Blackpool colours on the ladder, although that changed many years later! Anyone remember those 'two colour' jumpers that were 'fashionable' at the time (not a word I am usually associated with). I had a claret and blue version and I insisted it was Villa not the spammers.
Can still do a swap then ...mine passed this year and is on the mantlepiece (still moaning about the Ross McCormack penalty)
