Which player have you been glad to be rid of and why?

For me personally Zak Whitbread, his performance away at Barnsley was abysmal, he couldn't head or kick the ball and trod on it more times than putting a tackle in, Chris O'Grady tore hime a new one time and tine again. Without a doubt the worst ever performance I've ever seen a player have in Leicester City colours, I still feel aggrieved that we were ripped off when we signed him on a free transfer!

I know akinbiyi was ****e but he had a small ounce of ability - Whitbread?????

looking back wasnt mcgivern a great scapegoat! So so poor its ridiculous but fun to look back on - certainly not at the time though!

 

I have to say, the sense of relief I felt when we finally got Beckford off our hands was a new feeling to me, despite all the crap players we've had over the last ten years. I just felt that his very presence at the club was damaging; not only was he disappointing on the pitch, by two managers struggled with him and he didn't appear to be popular with the other players.

Danns and Mills, for similar reasons. And Dennis Wise if we're going a bit further back.

 

Couldn't agree more regarding Beckford, the only time I feel it's felt like actually making a new signing by getting rid of someone

Has to be Spider Kalach or whatever he's called however went on afterwards to be quite successful !!

 

Željko Kalac (yes I had to google his name because no way in hell would I be able to spell it) - he was gloriusly useless for us yet is a Champions League winner with Milan!

Did anyone catch MON mentioning him during the World Cup - they were discussing the Dutch team substituting their goalkeeper for penalties and and MON mentioned he did that with someone who was a "useless keeper but was massive and covered a half of the goal".

Guy I'm glad to see the back of was Dennis Wise - what a c**t.

Also Conrad Logan - never rated him.

 

I can remember standing in pen 3 at Filbert Street watching Kalac letting to shots through his hands and legs before the game. I said at the time "at least he's doing it before the game and not in the match"...............the rest is history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

So that's a prediction that you'll be happy when he leaves, right?
