To me yes.
Run aground gives me the impression of stalling which never happened. He was dumped for speaking the truth not for performance.
I was talking about his career in England, I didn't say it was his fault, so I think the analogy was fair.

Just as an imo....

Spurs 2nd place?

They had a good run when coincided with city slump and Leicester winning the title, they benefitted from utd's fall from grace but it was really 2016/17 where they got 86 points, that's really his main run.

In the cl they got damned lucky at times and their league form that season (7th) showed it. The second it was them we all knew we would win.

He got a relatively young side to run like made a d they burned out just like klopp gets accused of.

Pochettino has since flopped.

The issue here is the ogs got utd 2nd once and to a europa sf. He also got players fit then flogged them (see rashford)

Pochettino has the ideal set up at chavski. A shut tonne of platers to run into the ground and the cash to get an actual forward.

It'll still end in tears

First managerial casualty of the season, before the season has kicked off.

Lopetegui is set to leave Wolves to be replaced by Gary O'Neil

excellent move by him. he's built a rep on 6 months work and has got out before it goes tits up

he's now firmly in the shop window for a better job, like West ham, as soon as it comes up
