Let's not kid ourselves. Milner still performs on the field too.. he's not just a dressing room icon. He's kind of looked at as backup these days but often when he comes on, he's better than who he replaced.

My only issue with Milner is that he can't play every game all season any more. I don't doubt him when he comes on. Henderson may give me occasional anxieties but when we have Keira and Ox on our team, hes far from our worst midfielder... And he always works hard.

Who is milner better than?

He may be fitter, but quality wise Id rather have jones playing and he's never making it for us. But again, I'd hope we have higher ambitions than "good for the dressing room" and " Available " for one of our main squad players.

thats fair enough. the issue he's just the lad retained on a rolling 1 year so he should be the 7th or 8th midfielder in theory.

Slotted to RB to give trent a rest v Bournemouth for example. theres value in that to the squad.

the other stuff could be more focused on as TBH he's only playing cos thiago is made of glass, keita is useless and hiding and ox is a sicknote.

Take 3 in theory real first team options (and 110mil of investment there btw) out and that 7th choice is now up to 4th choice with elliott forcing his way in beside Henderson and fabinho in front of him.

Klopp literally could send milner on for any player i nthe side beside GK, now we'd prefer he didn't but to give a lad 20mins rest you can't beat the value.

No he isn't.

He's fitter, but if both of them are avialable keita start every match.

Milner doesn't make nearly as many mistakes as Keita and puts in a lot more effort and presses harder. That said, it's time to move on and up from Milner.

Also: Bruno Lage?

I added 5 to the poll at the top.

I don't know about lage now but for sure its a terrible start and wolves have pulled the trigger before for less.

Same for west ham as well, shocker start.

I suppose nobody is immune from the bad run are they?

Whats the [HASHTAG]#list[/HASHTAG]

Gerrard
Lampard
hassenhutl
Rodgers
Tuchel

Too soon for Tuchel. He's been a decent manager for Chelsea doesn't deserve the sack yet... But the way Chelsea are bidding on everyone it wouldn't surprise if they sign three managers so they have two as backup.
