I think he's a good manager and I'd have him back in say 10 years time... But I think it was a bit too early. He's doing well with you though granted.... But he'll come into his own in about 10 years imo.

Not sure Adebayor should be on that list, every time he comes to the Bridge he looks much better than ordinary !!!!

  5. I cannot believe a Chelsea fan had the the gall to write this thread! Who's the OP...? Ozzie! Ah, should have guessed. Good at dishing out verbal abuse, but not so hot on football.

Want to make a study of profligacy in the football markets, do we? We, let's look at good old CFC...

    Torres - £50m
    Shevchenko - £30m
    Essien - £25m
    Shaun Wright-Philips - £21m
    Veron - £20m

...to but a very small few.

Sure, we might have bought a handful more donkeys than you, but ours cost us a fraction of what your stable of nags cost you.

If you're look at most money spent on ****e, surely CFC has to be top of the league?

See, you may have had a point until you included Essien. Legend.

He needs to learn his stripes at a club like Spurs. Chelsea came round too quickly for him.

Then, Once he has got some CL experience he will be ready to coach a club like us once again.

Chelsea might have paid over the odds for a few flops, but there's no team that can match Spurs for consistently wasting money on that shower of ****e list of players who you thought we're going to propel you above Arsenal <laugh> As I mentioned, you have nearly spent as much as Man Utd on transfers since the PL began and yet what have you got to show for it ? One mickey mouse cup and an early exit from the CL in the one season you managed to scrape into it.

Sure we've had a few turkey's too, Chelsea have also and Man Utd haven't escaped the the scourge of players like Djemba Djemba, Bebe etc. But when you look at what those teams have achieved in that time, Arsenal winning the double, Utd doing the double, Chelsea and Utd winning the league and CL, then it puts some perspective on how utterly **** Spurs have been in the transfer market.

Spurs truly are the mugs of the transfer market

Also sold off your best players as you were on the verge of challenging for the title/getting top 4.

that's because i was offline, the truth is we lost Modric &VDV,and did'nt replace them, and we only had 2 strikers, and lost one of them to the Africa cup of nations,so he was managing under that handicap,we still got the most points total we have in the P/L,any other time that total would have got us top4,so really,we have'nt gone backwards's

<laugh> Essien? Whilst we're at it why not throw Xabi Alonso in there for Liverpool too. Both had the same impact.

Even scrolling through that list, lets have a look at the return of silverware those players had at Chelsea.

Torres - Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup Winner
Shevchenko - FA Cup and Carling Cup Winner
Essien - Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup (4) & Carling Cup Winner
Shaun Wright-Phillips - Premier League, FA Cup & Carling Cup Winner

Does anyone remember Taibi, Kleberson, Djemba Djemba, Luzhny, Cygan? When people look back at history they'll only remember the successful sides, not the "flops" that played for them.
