Is says next to my name you plank - 19 Neither Liverpool nor Leeds have won the league since Ive been alive, yet both seem to think they are still big, succesful clubs. For example Liverpoo fans are angry and hate Torres because he left for Chelsea. After all he did for you, single handedly carrying your team you then hate him. He needed champions league football and so went to a bigger club. Also Chelsea arent even one of your big rivals, so he wasnt a traitor. They were the only team prepared to spend money to buy him. Arrogant and disgraceful behaviour towards the best player you've had in the prem era
Our best player in the prem era? Not even top 10. We were pissed off with him because he left us with 3 days to find a suitable replacement, not because he wanted to leave. And he didn't "need" champions league football, there are players who deserve champions league football more than Torres in our squad, but they didn't leave us mid-season. He was starting to become a hate figure even before leaving, certain sections of the away support were already getting irritated with his 18 months of non performances, petulance and lack of effort. We've won more trophies in that 19 years than you have in your entire history, btw.
Yeah but I dont claim that Norwich are the biggest and best team in England like the Liverpoo fans do. You haven't ever won the premiership - pretty poor for a 'massive club'. Like I said for the whole of the last two decades you've been in your hated rivals Utds shadow. Haha, of course Torres is in your top ten players for prem era. You are so bitter and deluded just because he was ambitous. When he was at Liverpoo all the fans were constantly bleating on about how he was the best striker in the world and now he is gone you say the likes of Sammi 'average' Hyppia was better. Its laughable.
"Sammi 'average' Hyppia" Pretty much sums up your football knowledge. Even the most bitter rival supporters will admit Sami was a very good defender. Above Torres Owen Fowler Mcmanaman Barnes Gerrard Rush Grobbelaar Mølby Carragher/Hyypia Alonso
Last time 'ammers went down they boasted about how they were gonna boss the petty fizzy league ( htpp://news.bbc/Sport/606.Championship.circa-july2003.php) -btw 'amers, it's not an easy league for anyone to get out of
Errr, we've got 5 European Cups, more than anyone else from Britain, I think we could easily lay claim to being the biggest team in England, and it's all down to your opnion whether we are or not. Rangers have more league titles than Celtic, but if you ask me Celtic are the biggest team in Scotland because of their European cup win, it overshadows anything Rangers have done in the league. No he isn't, he was here for 3 and a half years, in which we won nothing and he was also moping around for a good 18 months before finally leaving us for Chelsea. All in all Torres had 1 world class season in 07/08. The rest he was either injured or moping around feeling sorry for himself. Sami Hyypia average? I have a feeling you're a lot younger than 19, especially with your use of "Liverpoo" which isn't particularly witty. I'll give you 10 players who I feel have contributed more to Liverpool since 1992, then. Robbie Fowler, Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso, Michael Owen, Sami Hyypia, McManaman, Jerzy Dudek, Luis Garcia, Pepe Reina, Didi Hamann, Steve Finnan, John Arne Riise, Markus Babbel and Steven Gerrard. They've all contributed more than Torres to our past 20 years, so I don't see how Torres is in anyway a certainity of being in our top 10 premier league players, let alone number one. And if it's about us being bitter that he has ambitions, funny how there's no ill will to the likes of Alonso & Arbeloa from Liverpool, isnt it!?
"Norwich are gonna cause some shocks next season! you're gonna be the whipping boys who just make the numbers up, you'll never win anything
Hahaaaaa Fowler, Hyppia, Finnan better than Torres. If you genuinely think that then you are absolutely idiotic
Oh good grief - Babbel? Riise? Garcia? How in any ones world were they better for Liverpool than Torres. Moronic In the prem era - no Liverpool player has had a two season spell as brilliant as Torres was. What was his goal record for you again? Bet his goal to game ratio stands up to pretty much and Liverpool striker
Fowler helped us win the treble, Finnan helped us win the CL and the FA Cup and Hyypia helped win all of them. Torres helped us win diddly squat.
Does that make John O shea a far better player than Gerrard considering he has won a hell of a lot more.
Torres had ONE good season for us, the other seasons he was injured or sulking. I don't see what's hard to understand about that. Babbel was majestic in the 2000/2001 season and Fowler is the most naturally gifted footballer I've ever seen at Anfield. Garcia scored two semi-final winners against Chelsea, I don't remember Torres doing anything of the sort, and he was playing in a better team than Garcia. Two season spell, which Torres did you watch!?
You didn't ask who was the better player, you asked who was the better player for Liverpool, which is the difference here. You've changed your argument half way through just to suit what you're saying.
