Barton Arms, Worsley? I used to be in there pretty much every weekend. The Bridgewater, John Gilbert and Worsley Old Hall on occasion too. Whereabouts you from Bollocks?

That's my stomping ground. I like the Cock too.

Last sentence looks a bit gay if you don't know Worsley, mind.

I used to play for the Cock FC around the turn of the millenium, and was in all the time. The Boundary Stone and the Red Lion in Ellenbrook too, I used to work in the latter. I've not been in the Cock much recently, does that Portuguese fella still run it?

Jose? Yerr, he's still there as far as I know.

I've moved away from there, but get back to visit friends regularly and visit all the haunts we've mentioned. Sometimes the Bluebell in Monton too.

The Bluebell? That takes me back. I used to go in there when I was at Eccles College, around about 1998/99. I saw Michael Twiss (he was 2 years above me at Walkden High) in there on a Friday night and he told me to keep quiet because United were playing the day after. Like he was going to get a game anyway <doh>

I know, it's ridiculous. Whoever we played used to take to the field with a smirk. It put them in a false sense of security though, as we had some of the roughest ****s in Salford playing for us.

When we went on our Christmas party we took a giant inflatable cock out with us. It didn't last long.

I met Glen Michael (twice), his dog rusty and palladin - one for all the "jocks"...

The other person I would consider famous would be Robert Caryle - had a pint with him.

Had beers with Lennon, Gough, Hartson, McCoist ... all on seperate occasions! Hartson liked a pint and a cig in the Pot Stil most nights!!

Met and wanted to deck McGeady - wee fanny!

Met Darius Danesh in Glasgow Airport (shortly after his hit me baby one more time performance). He asked me "if I recognised him". I said "yeah, you're the daft **** from pop stars"
