  1. I don't think Johnson is the best in the league, the fact that most of us think he and Kelly are at a similar level suggests he isn't too - how many of us think Kelly is the best or close to being the best in league?

Micah Richards is the best in the league at present, nobody else is remotely close and it is a travesty that he has been overlooked for England for the last couple of years. Top top player IMO.

Kyle Walker will be better but it is not clear cut to me at the minute. However, if I was in the England managers position, it would be Richards plus one of Johnson or Walker.

I didn't say he's the best in the league,i said i don't think there is a better RB in the prem.

Hard to pick between Johnson and Richards, and Walker has really impressed this season.

I live for reggae. From 60's steel pan dub to modern day dancehall. It's on par with my passion for football <ok>

It's an interesting one regarding Richards and the England thing. We all know he's got good pace, get's forward plenty, very powerful etc.

Is it his positional sense that sometimes let's him down,or was it a personal thing with him and Capello maybe,i dunno.

I don't follow England on the international stage so it has never bothered me but it's an interesting one.

Like i said before, not much between Richards and Johnson for me.

Good post organic red. I wouod probably guess that Richards wasn't given a chance because Capello hated inexperience. Look at the likes of Upson, Wright-Phillips, Carragher, Heskey, Green, Barry & James. They didn't deserve to go/start ahead of the likes of Young, Parker, Dawson, Hart, A.Johnson, Bent but because they had that extra amoiunt of caps they got a call up/in the team ahead of them.

He always looked uncomfortable after the world cup when he had to blood some new, inexperienced players in.

I think KElly has struggled to find some form since he was injured. But I Feel Johson has been in great form and is a real attacking threat as well being solid in defence. He can shoot with either foot, put in a decent cross, take on full backs.

Johnson should be starting but Kelly is excellent cover. I would like to see Kelly as CB though ...

Good question, I've been Johnson's biggest critic. Last year I'd rather have had a one legged man defending than him. However, I agree that his defensive skills have improved massively. He still dives in a little too much. Kelly has seemed uncertain on his games at RB this year. His distribution has been erratic and defensively he's looked shaky. Kelly will definitely be premier league quality but Johnson IS premier league quality.
