Am I wrong.Has the Western world gone crazy since capital punishment was virtually stopped and the lawyers keep the killers in clink,and alive,by protests which take for ever to get the suspect back to court? I'm not irresponsible but if someone takes a life of someone in my family,or a close friend,then I want an eye for an eye! Sorry!This has nothing to do with football,thank the Lord,but someones got to do something. The gun shows in America are ridiculour.The bloody weapons for sale just fill warehouses,for why?....and who wants machine guns for their bedroom walls?No one.They want to use them.....and not on deer either!
But there's always Derek Bentley, Timothy Evans...and there would have been Stefan Kiszko and the alleged IRA bombers etc etc etc. Both the UK and US lock up more people for longer these days. Here there are increasingly more all life termers. We aren't more liberal - quite the contrary - but the death penalty is a step too far. The US needs to legislate against guns, but it won't because the right of the individual to defend him/herself against the murderer, rapist, robber, burglar will always trump the risk that a mad man will run amok.

Clearly not, as their murder rate is almost double of California's - and considering 60% of the population of both Louisiana and Mississippi is white, that's a stick in the eye to the pro-gun lobby's default position that all crime in the US can be blamed on blacks of Hispanics.
Was reading in the paper at the weekend that 5 killers have been let out of prison after life sentences,and all have murdered again,life should mean life,with no parole
Might be at crossed purposes tots. I am suggesting that Westminster has the worst record as murderers and here I am thinking in terms of our politicians who are increasingly happy to make war. Our brave leaders should be prepared to ride the lead horses into battle in the way Henry V backed his hunches. Otherwise back off and use some of their wonderfull spin skills for peaceful purposes.
