I've kept a little autograph book from the 1950s. Over three or four seasons, I got about fifteen of the Sunderland players - Shack, Bingham, Revie, etc. Also Matthews, Finney, Lofthouse, Liddell, John Charles, Ivor and Len Allchurch, Dooley, and I think I've got most or all of the '56 Man City Cup winning team and the '57 Villa cup winning team. When the fabulous early fifties Hibernian side came for a friendly, I jibbed wolf cubs to see them. Their forward line was priceless and known as 'The Famous Five' - Smith Johnstone, Reilly, Turnbull and Ormond - I nabbed all five of them! The only downside was, being a silly little bugger, I didn't want those "inferior" players from Newcastle and Middlesbrough - so no Jackie Milburn and no Wilf Mannion. I could kick myself now. Still, it's a damn good little book to have.

I have all of the autographs of the squad in the mid sixties, including Brian Clough, and I still have the flag I made and took to Wembley in 1973.

I have a home made hat from the 73 cup final. When the team was doing their lap of honour it came flying through the air and I managed to grab it. It is made of cardboard and has red and white striopes on it (naturally) and some of the players names written on it. Sadly it is now showing signs of wear and tear, just like me after all this time, but I still keep it as a memento of that great day.
