If I know I'm only gonna be somewhere short term I tend to **** it off, until it says my name rather than 'occupier' then it goes in the bin.
I'm sure I read recently the fact the water has been split into different suppliers has caused problems with the supply itself and therefore impacted on pricing. Something one national water supplier wouldn't have a problem with?
It went something like this, after he rang the intercom yes hi i'm from the tv license. and we don't have a record of (f) a tv there and. Can i come up and check, i can show you my cards. No **** off. How long have have you lived there? What the **** has that got to do with you. Do you have a tv? No. Ok, if you won't let me in, i will send you a letter. Ok, now piss off, it;s nearly 9pm Sorry to disturb you, expect a letter. Ok, now **** off you ****, get a proper job, you ****, ****, ****. And now i get a letter.
I think there should be a basic principle that anything people need and rely on, i.e. water, fuel, heat, transport etc should be run for public service and not for profit. Everything else that people have a choice whether to buy or not, fair enough, open it up to the market.
I had a TV guy turn up once. He saw that I really didn't have TV and ****ed off looking perplexed. Haven't seen the ****s for over 7 years now.
I'd include food and clothes in that list . Okay, the supply chain is a bit more complex, but it should be provided at 0% VAT for the consumer.
I'll give you an example of a **** bill EE charged me £2.49 to send five picture messages (of my now deceased Dad) to a mate who isn't on their network and doesn't have iMessage or a smartphone. So they didn't even get the pictures, yet the ****s charged me for it. the ****s
this always intersts me .. you know what i do. Ilooked at the logistics when i was in mordor. just they amount of people, manpower, time etc before it even reaaches a store is outstanding.
I know. How do Aldi manage to sell a bar of chocolate for £1 ? That cocoa is grown in Peru, trucked out of the jungle, processed and packed in Lima, then shipped in a container that takes 6 weeks to travel over to Europe, made into chocolate, packaged and then packed in a warehouse, then goes on a truck to the supermarket, before finally being bought by the consumer. So many people in the supply chain. Just shows you how much the grower is getting .... We all want 'cheap' food, and try to ignore the hidden costs.
I work in the chill depot mate, not same as others. basically, everything has to to be in, checked, spilt down, picked, loaded and out all the same day. maybe why the mangers are ****s, cos of(f) stress. Also why they called us back from Mordor early. Cos there's to many birds and glassback ****s, and they missed the heavy pickers In and out.
Lack of investment in infrastructure since privatisation has left ring mains and sewers in a desperate state. Don’t know about the rest of the country, but in London Thames water has been happy to take customers money without spending anything on essential maintenance, and now it’s caught up with them.
