Whether true or not, the stories from West Ham paint a poor picture; and the content of his twitter feed over the past nine months suggested to me he was 'one of the lads' and reinforced those character stereotypes. I'm sure I read somewhere that Karen Brady was involved with his swift exit from West Ham, being intolerant to any negative connotations. I don't think it's a great loss. He was the one character that I was most concerned about; purely based on the 'banter' I read on twitter.
He also says that QPR lack any pace at the centre of defence....................he's obviously not heard of Onuoha then.
Pretty much every QPR supporter has said we lack pace at CB. Wasn't that one of our massive concerns last season? How could you possibly know that? Praise be to the lord, the saviour has arrived. Lets all just stand in a big circle holding hands & sing Kumbaya, because our latest celeb signing is going to fix everything.
I think its more of a comment on WALLY DOWNES' coaching ability than Rio's. It seems your in the same place regarding Rio as I have been with Redknapp and Barton. Enjoy.
To be able to assess Wally's coaching ability, we'd need to 1)know what top domestic level coaching involves, and 2)have seen his methods behind the scenes. It's just impossible to speculate really. All I know is that we looked very defensively solid during the playoffs- which is ultimately what got us promoted Vs Derby.
You've got it bad mate eh? We were slow at centre back whilst ned was injured. Do you think ned has much pace or is also a little slow?
